Look for the farm stand by the road as you head to Jara Farms and do yourself a favor and stop to get some supplies before you head up the hill! There are some fresh eggs for sale ($3.00 for a dozen - hard to beat that price for fresh eggs!), homemade cookies & bread, maple syrup and even flowers. Once you’ve paid for some treats then hop back in your vehicle and head on up the dirt road that’ll take you to your campsite!

James is your host at Jara Farms and he’s a really nice guy. He was happy to show us around and even led us out to our campsite in his vehicle. You’ll have your pick of sites out in the back pasture as most of the land is flat. If you like peace and quiet, this is the place for you as the only neighbors you’ll be able to see are cows. Find yourself a nice patch of field to pitch your tent or park your van and then make yourself at home. We were delighted to be in a field with a smattering of wildflowers. It was quite a picturesque place to camp. The road out to the site became quite rutted but we had no problem driving alongside it in the grass!

If you’ve ever wanted to stay at a working farm, we recommend giving this one a chance. It’s a beautiful place to spend a night under the stars.

Taking a walk to see the property. Cows as neighbors? Yes, please. How's this for a camping spot?!Making new friends is one of the best parts about Hipcamp.

We had a wonderful time staying at Jara Farms! James was an excellent host. Loved seeing the cows, sleeping under the stars, and waking up to a beautiful sunrise in a field. Would absolutely recommend.

Great covid protocol. The views were very curious. No picnic table, fire pit, level grass surface for tent. I loved the secluded nature.

Nice quiet place. Great farmstand at the bottom of the driveway. There are a few dogs, which were very friendly.
