About Eco-Friendly Safari Tent
The tents at Hemlock Falls prove that you can keep things simple without skimping on the details. Tucked in the woods a short walk from three private waterfalls, these spacious accommodations offer a quiet, stress-free getaway that centers privacy and comfort. The 14 x 16 canvas tents are set on a wooden platform, providing a large back deck with a scenic view of the forest and stream below. Cook out with the BBQ grill or toast marshmallows around the firepit on beautiful summer & autumn nights!
An attached compost toilet and propane hot water shower give guests a private bathroom just outside their tent. Inside, a queen sized memory foam mattress sleeps two, but an air mattress and linens are available for a total of four.*
Your vacation should feel like a vacation. Hemlock Falls opts out of the traditional tourist trap where sites are crowded together at the expense of your experience. Our tents are nestled in groves on the property, located separate from one another so that you can truly relax.

The vibe at Eco-Friendly Safari Tent
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Hemlock Falls is an off-the-grid oasis, nestled amongst the trees in the Catskills. A walk through the avenue of trees leads to you your own private site with a large wrap around deck and luxury canvas tent with flowers, books, board games and a huge pillowy bed. Not to forget a BBQ pit and grill, plus a composting toilet and hot shower.
After settling in we took a walk around the land (tons of acres of it!) to a couple of waterfalls, spotting deer and hearing nothing but the birds.
Cooked a delicious meal over the firepit then rain set in for the night and we played board games and drank wine by solar lantern light. Woke up in this glorious treehouse and seriously never wanted to leave!
