Gilbert Lake State Park is snuggled in the foothills of the Catskills; this park offers more than 12 miles of interconnecting trails that can be used for summertime hiking, during the winter by snowmobiles, snowshoe, and skis. The hilly terrain is shreddy for skateboarders and offers a nice ride for bikers on paved roads. Go swimming, boating, and fishing on this park's namesake attraction to ease your lakeside needs. Cabins are also available for those that prefer to snuggle up in a glamper's paradise at night. Regardless, all sites surround Gilbert Lake make fun not only a convenience, but a number one priority.
