About Field, Forest and Farm
Our property offers a variety of places to pitch your tent (or park your RV). Set up in the middle of our great grass field and marvel at the wall of maples that surround you and at night gaze upon the astonishing display of night stars and Milky Way.
For those seeking the ultimate in adventure, you can set up camp in our dense wooded forest. Complete privacy here as you'll watch the turkey and deer stroll by.
Unlimited fresh water is provided, along with a portable toilet that is located in an enclosed shed within easy walking distance. Normally we allow camp fires, but this month has been too dry and right now we are asking campers to use the propane grill we provide.
We are located on an isolated dirt road and surrounded by 1000's of acres of farm land and state parks. It is a 30 minute car drive to Windham Ski resort mountain and about 1 hour 15 minutes to the Kaaterskill Falls. 1.5 hours from Howe Caverns.
Many State parks are within a 20 minute drive and their is the famous New York Times acclaimed Bees Knees Cafe located 1 mile from our house that offers award winning organic breakfasts and lunches every weekend all year round.
During your walks along the dirt road you'll see majestic red barns and ponds along the way, also great for mountain biking.
Do be advised, we are in the Catskill mountains and wild life of all kind call this area home too. So pack and prepare accordingly.

The vibe at Field, Forest and Farm
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
I had the pleasure of meeting Stephen, his family, and one of his neighbors. They are really some of the friendliest people. They were all incredibly accommodating for anything I might have needed. I was given some choices about where to put up my tent, and I chose the wooded option since I had a hammock I wanted to string up. There are some farms along the very private dirt road that Stephen lives on. My car was a convenient distance from where I was able to set up. The views of the Catskills, sunset, and sunrise are all stunning. There's also a small field full of wildflowers right next to the spot I set up. I enjoyed a peaceful walk on the dirt road during sunset. I would be glad to camp here again.
