We stayed on the far side of the pond this weekend. Although we had a bit of rain, it was a great experience. The site was very private, there were trails running all over the property and the pond was clean and perfect for a quick dip. Our hosts were quick to share a tip on what to do and did their best to make sure we had everything we needed.
Awesome place. Great people, cool pond.
Not much cell signal, but wifi was very good.
Bubba was great getting us settled in, offering us a bunch of options for where we could setup. The pond was deliciously refreshing at the end of the day.
Sharon was super helpful with directions & accommodations. Very thorough with helping us navigate our way there. Very beautiful well kept spot with a lovely view of the rolling hills, we arrived at sunset and it was so peaceful. We appreciated her hiking recommendations & had a great time checking out Taughannock Falls!
Sharon and Bubba were very generous hosts! We camped on the far side of the pond, and it was very quiet. Even though there were other guests there that weekend as well, we had no problem feeling as though we had our own private experience. The pond and view was beautiful, and Bubba even rescued us when we got stuck in the mud when we leaving.
Fantastic spot! Bubba was super helpful and let us park the van in the shade, close enough to plugin. It was a scorcher of a day so we took advantage of the pond... which was amazing! Clean, refreshing, relaxing with fantastic views. There are a couple lovely hiking trails that take you around the property and through the woods. I'm a dog lover and the pups were very friendly. Loved it!
Sharon, her partner Bubba, and the dogs were excellent hosts. We camped behind the pond in a spot that had room for a six person tent and then some. We were even able to do laundry in their house when our stuff got a bit wet from the rain (Sharon says best time to do laundry if needed is usually 11am-5pm). Sharon also provided us assistance with locating kayak rentals, which was much appreciated! She is very knowledgeable about the area and responsive to messages if anything comes up. Last but not least, the stargazing was fabulous. On clear nights, several constellations are visible -- you'll may even glimpse a few shooting stars. Thanks again for a lovely time!
Great experience! This is definitely a doggie camp and a Labrador paradise. The pond is beautiful and my dogs loved taking a dip each morning. very quiet and dark at night and a very private camp spot with acres of trails. Sharon and Bubba are awesome hosts, my truck broke down and they were able to give me advice on a local mechanic around the corner that helped me out. They were also great with giving advice on local places to visit, I definitely want to visit again!!!
