Be one with The Great Outdoors near New York's picturesque Finger Lakes. Our Mountainside Camp offers a retreat for the fully equipped camper who wants to get off the beaten path. Here, you're within driving and biking distance to the Town of Naples, NY (Grimes Glen Park), and Canandaigua Lake, and all of the beauty and culture of the Finger Lakes Region is at your doorstep: vineyards and wine tours, water fun on the lake... and so much more. The camp has come along way in (founded June 2017) 14 months since our Scout Camper came to stay***, with "Base Camp" site maturing with level tent sites, fire pits, benches, tables, port-a-potty. "Hawk's Nest" site (1/2 way up the hill) making progress as well, not so much road noise up here. More carved out camp sites to come soon I hope.

Overall, this was a fantastic site to stay at. It makes a perfect base camp for exploring Naples and the surrounding region. We took a trip to Grime's Glen 10 Min. down the road and passed a couple great fishing spots along the way, I would highly recommend taking a trip down there to cool off on a hot day. Canandaigua Lake is super close for kayaking/swimming/fishing. Plenty of vineyards in the region make the mountain side camp a great place to stay for those interested in wine tastings. The camp itself is on the small side and lends itself to smaller groups. My one gripe was how close it is to the road, but it was not a deal breaker. The field across the street makes a great place to star gaze at night. The site is rather bare-bones which could be a con to some, but we saw it as an blank canvas - you can really make it your own while there. The ground is rough and uneven which is not ideal for large tents - we recommend 1-2 man tents in order to find a good spot. The site was absolutely fantastic for hammocks, there are plenty of trees close together for complex multi-hammock setups! I recommend this site for any small group looking to explore the Canadaigua/Naples region!
The mountainside camp offers privacy and close proximity to some beautiful hikes. The site itself is large enough to set up camp up the hill away from the road. Chris is a great host; he was super responsive all weekend. 10/10 would recommend.
It very peaceful and clean here. The owner Chris was very helpful answering every question I had. The only down fall was the site at the bottom you could hear the traffic (but that still wasnt bad), it wasnt enough to bother us camping. Beautiful property!!
