Four acres of rolling pasture with wide open views of the town and Valley of Montour Falls, NY, as well as the actual Montour Falls. We offer 6 sites about a football field apart.  Each has a fire pit and benches. A port-a-potty gives it a "homey touch" with a changing blind that is setup for your camping shower. (No running water) Breath and live the great outdoors in New York; hike, bike, camp, fish, swim, or boat to many hidden corners.  Your within an hour's drive to 9 of 11 of the FINGER LAKES; Hemlock, Canadice, Honeoye, Canandaigua, Keuka, Seneca, Cayuga, Owasco, Skaneateles (add 30 minutes and round out Otisco, the East end cap and Conesus on the West.)  You're likely to see hawks overhead in the afternoon and deer strolling through at dusk. If you get lucky you can see or photograph BALD EAGLES that live, nest and fish throughout the Finger Lakes.  I've seen a few, they have white head and tail feathers...you'll know!  You're three miles from Watkins Glen and all the local culture offered there: wineries, antiquing, hiking through the famous gorge in Watkins Glen at Seneca Lake State Park (on Route 14). Fishing, swimming, boating and water access is three miles away at Seneca Lake. Your about 25 miles from Ithaca, NY.  Havana Glen Park is about a mile away at 135 Havana Glen Rd., Montour Falls, NY ($2 for car entry)

The Dollar Store is very close on Route 14, offering tiki torches and fluid. Topps food market is on the way into Watkins Glen.

This site was even better than we expected! The views were wonderful and we had plenty of space. It's close to anything you may need -- groceries, firewood, & homemade ice cream shops. I would highly recommend staying here, and hope to return at some point!

Valley View was a great primitive campsite with a classic finger lakes view! I loved the location, it's only a few minutes drive from Montour Falls and Watkins Glen. GPS had some trouble finding the exact location, I posted a picture showing what the driveway entrance looks like, you can also look for the white mailbox labeled "Valley View". There are lots of awesome things to do and places to explore, so Valley View makes a perfect base camp if you are planning a trip to the area! The property is a huge rolling field filled with purple wildflowers and a great vista of the surrounding valley. However, It was a little overgrown for my late summer stay. Chris is a great host, he gave me a lot of useful info before my trip and it sounds like he has some upgrades planned. In the meantime, the site functions perfectly well for primitive tent camping! I'd 100% recommend checking out Shequaga Falls while you are here, it's right in the heart of Montour and it's a great view that takes very little effort!

A classic Fingerlakes view into the valley without having to leave the site!tentview lodgingThe campfire area seemed to be overgrown a bit for my stay, but there was firewood in ample supply. Tent? Check.

This campsite had so much more than we expected! We absolutely loved our time here. There was tons of brush and wood to burn and plenty of land to camp on. Chris was a communicative host. The only thing we had to fiddle with was finding totally flat ground - it was a little slanted but not terrible!

This site was beautiful! Very secluded, road on the side but nothing too loud. Close in proximity to many attractions, such as Watkins Glen State Park, Finger Lakes National Forest, and Seneca Lake. Chris was a great host, very accommodating. Clean porta potty was provided, along with toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and other cleaning supplies. Fire pit with log benches and lawn chairs were also provided. 10/10 would recommend this site!

Nice site with a great view. Be sure to bring shade but a great place to watch the sun set. It could be a little more level and the fire pit area was overgrown. Otherwise, we lived the quiet, beautiful location and would definitely go back.

The location was amazing! Great view overlooking the town of Montour Falls. Close to town, but still secluded. Our only complaint was that the site was a little overgrown. We had to use some hedge clippers around the fire pit.

Beautiful sunset looking over the valley.Set up camp at the site on top of the hill.

I'm sure your right with a little overgrown and I'm sorry. We just started our 2nd year and have progress very nicely, but getting camp site broken in is one of our top priorities. It is a beautiful site. Our "Mountainside Camp" site in Italy, NY has allot to offer as well, forest setting. Give us another visit and I'm sure you'll see progress. Thanks for visiting!

There are beautiful rolling hills on this site. Christopher was very friendly and contacted me to see if he should mow the area (really glad he did as there is SUPER tall, stiff grass). There are two sites, as no one else was camping we had a pick of the two. We picked the one a bit higher up. You can see the town from here, which makes it feel less remote.
There is a port a potty if you so desire such a facility. Fire pits are available as well as benches built by Mennonites. Christopher even helped us gather some kindling. This was a great site, and close to Watkins Glen State Park!

Very private and beautiful land with a fantastic view of the valley. Bring bug spray and your own shade if you can. I highly recommend this site if you are thinking of staying in the area, and with all the waterfalls and wine, you should.
