Description

The Catskill Mountains combine convenience and wilderness in one neat package. Located just a day’s drive from 20 million local residents, you might think that Beaverkill Campground would be a mob scene. Things may get a little cramped on a busy summer weekend, but otherwise there’s plenty of room to spread out. Campsites are nestled in the woods along the Beaverkill River, one of the best trout-fishing rivers in the country. So grab your fly rod and your bug spray and pitch your tent in this wooded paradise.

This is a great campsite for weekend campers! The staff is very friendly, the facilities are clean, the wilderness is on point... However, you are VERY close to your fellow campers. Very little privacy. Not a deal breaker as it's still so beautiful

Loved cooking at Beaverkill campground. They have a contained fire pit with an attached grill. I usually bring my own - but there's no need to here.Beaverkill is great for animals. Of course, they need to be leashed but there's a lot of opportunity to unleash and let them roam out on the trails.Beaverkill offerts stunning 360 views of the mountains with quaint sights like this iron bridge on the way to the camp.Take a hike on some of the dozens of trails nearby. Huggins Lake trail is about 4 miles round trip and the walk to the covered bridge is about 1.5 miles round trip.

This is a highly populated campground. If you're the type of person who likes to be around people, this campground is for you. There was a nice fly fishing stream behind the campground.

Nice spot to sit by the fire, decent river behind the fire pit
