Secluded camping on private property on a large spring-fed pond. Located on Canaseraga Creek. Located on the old power plant that powered the town in the 1900s which still stands on large waterfalls. Trout fishing and great hiking along the creek. About ten minutes from Swain Ski Resort, 10 minutes to Stoneybrook Park and a half hour from Letchworth State Park (driving). I am located in between two campgrounds. Here you will have your own private space. A short 5 minute walk to the house where you may use bathroom facilities as needed and coffee and tea will be provided in the house kitchen in the mornings if requested. You may pitch a tent or bring an RV. Bonfires and campfires are welcome. Bundles of camp wood available for $5 a piece. There is a barbecue pit a short 5-minute walk also from the campsite which you may use. This is a small Homestead with a variety of animals including cows, pigs, horses, and a variety of other Critters. They will be right next to your camping area but fenced off so they will not be in your space. Roosters do crow in the morning!! Not super loud but You will likely hear them! 117 year old rustic farmhouse on a beautiful setting which I love to share. Eggs and pick your own produce available seasonally. The vibe at Camp Privately on Spring Fed Pond
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Alexandra was an awesome host--very welcoming and helpful! And we LOVED going to sleep and waking up to the beautiful nature sounds of the frogs in the pond and the huge variety of birdsongs...very peaceful white noise!
The farm animal noises added to the charm of camping at a little farm homestead. ... we used Alexandra''s as a base camp over-night stay for three nights, and made day trips to Letchworth and Stony brook state parks (wow, you have Got To See Letchworth!!).
