A little bit about us. This is a small campground with 10 sites.  We do have one glamping site as well as well as a super luxurious cottage available (ask about this).

Nine of the sites are set up for campers.  Site 1  (our namesake) is located in the woods and is identifed with a giant boulder. Sites 2-6 are located in a 2 acre field  with some trees. These the campsites are extra large. Site 5 is on located on the edge of the field and is the smallest. Sites 2 and 4 are next to each other and connect so they are the best sites for large groups.  Sites 7-9 are our latest additions. They are located separate areas, sit on grass and have a more wooded surrounding. Thereare 40 acres here to explore with small streams and small ponds to at least get your feet wet.

We have one modern brand new bathroom with a hot shower. Its pretty amazing and its off the grid!  Another one is on it's way for the 2020 season. There is also a water spigot by the swing set in the garden.

We also offer 3 vintage campers for a unique glamping experience. We have a 1984, a 1975 and a 1966 all with electric service. Take a look at our listings or ask me. I'll tell you all about them.

We also offer hiking excursions. Please book in advance. Ask us about our other ammenities. Suggestions welcome! We are always looking for new activities and ammenities to offer our guests.

Our sites are in the middle of the 40 acres of beautiful undeveloped land to explore or just enjoy the quiet. There are no street lights to block the view of the nite sky and the fire flys are something to see.  We still have all the cool stuff like tons of restaurants, breweries, wineries & vinyards, and farms all around.

Boulder Point Camping is centrally located among indoor and outdoor activities, great restaurants, local shops, and antiquing. We are close to loads of hiking trails, state parks, restaurants, creeks, swimming, fishing and more. Sam's Point, Ice Caves Mountain, and Minewaska State Park just to name a few!  In addition there are plenty of microbreweries, wineries, and farms where you can pick your fruit right off the tree (or vine) as the case may be. We are also a few minutes from Angry Orchard, Gardner Brewing Company, and Baldwin Vinyards are right down the road.

We have a brand new casino just miles away. Enjoy top performers at Bethel Woods and Lego Land will be opening soon!  It's amazing here!

We can accommodate small vans and RVs as well.

Check out is a strict 12 am unless prior arrangements have been made.

We had a lovely few days camping at boulder point! Beautiful woods and surroundings. Upon arrival we were met by the host and shown to the site, were also able to purchase as much firewood as we needed for the weekend. The site is not too far from the main house but far enough away where you feel completely secluded. The location is perfect for all local hiking spots in the Shawangunk mountains and Minnewaska State park. Richard was a communicative and friendly host. We had a great time!

This campsite was perfectly adequate. With a few minor improvements, however, it could be really great.

- If you're looking for isolation, this isn't it. The map at checkout was deceptive, as we thought there would be more space between campsites. However, we could easily hear and see multiple other campsites, as well as the owner's house. Luckily our neighboring campers were quiet and polite, but it was very much a "backyard camping" vibe.

- It was advertised as having water -- but, it is well water and smells heavily of sulfur (ie: rotten eggs). So while technically potable, you will likely want to bring your own water (or some sort of filtration system). This should be noted in the description.

- Not all camp sites have the same amenities: example, our site didn't have a picnic table, while most others did. Not sure why this is the case.

- The fire pit at our site (#2) was right next to the dirt road where everyone drives their cars in and out. It was a very odd placement, not cozy or ideal. Would be better if moved a few feet away from the road.

- Our site had a single tree -- very little shade, but more disappointingly, we couldn't use the hammock we brought. It would be helpful to have a better description and layout of each campsite, instead of trying to guess which one we wanted. Not the owner's fault, but Hipcamp developers should consider adding this in the design. A brief description for each site, on the map at checkout, would be very helpful.

Awesome campsites near towns and hiking. We had a great experience staying at Rich's place this past labor day weekend. We stayed in the field site which included a picnic table, a fire ring, and plenty of room for your car and tents. The site was very spacious and secluded. In addition, Rich was a great host. Super friendly, flexible, generous with his firewood, and gave us lots of recommendations for things to do around the area (hiking, restaurants & bars, towns, etc.). 10/10 would definitely recommend - we will be back for sure!

Rich was great and very hospitable. The site was perfect and although there are other sites nearby, site #7 allowed for privacy and plenty of space to still be in the woods. Such a fun time, we will definitely be back again next year!

We booked Rich's place very last minute (an hr before our arrival) but it was the most painless check in. Rich, the host, is passionate about this side gig and has great personality. That human touch alone really added to our trip experience. His sites are very well groomed, and it features beautiful wild flower patch. Bathroom, which is a new addition was also great, but water does stink as it seems to have high level of sulfer.

The sites are pretty close to each other but still much more space than you'd get at a regular campgrounds and they are divided quite descently.

We stayed at site 5, and the sky from this site was just gorgeous.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. We were placed in a newer site, and Richard was kind enough to move us to an area that gave our group of 8 more privacy.

At night we heard a lot of coyotes, which made our camping experience that much more exciting.

Richard is super kind and really made us feel welcomed. I will camp here again!

Richard was very keen to help, and at the same time very respectful of our privacy. The site is of a nice size, and since there are few plots it stays quiet. Everything was super clean. Our dog enjoyed being there as much as we did.
