There are awesome biking trails at nearby Walnut mountain.
We have two kayaks and one canoe available. First come first served.
You can swim in Swan Lake however it is quite vegetative during certain times of the year.
Natural features you'll find at BeaverWood Farm in New York.
Our local area has thousands of acres of deciduous forest, and most of it is available to hike on.
The farm adjoins the small, Eastern section of Swan Lake, but we keep our kayaks and canoe on the larger section, west of Rt 55.
River, stream, or creek
The Middle Mongaup trout stream is just 5 minutes to our east, and the mighty Delaware is just 35 mins west.
Swan Lake itself has a 20 ft, man-made waterfall over its dam, and there are several natural waterfalls within 3 miles.
We are a 15 acre farm with free roaming animals.

Don't tell anyone about this place... except your really cool friends! The farm is totally awesome, and Farmer Paul is a wonderful host. This was truly a unique experience for us (adult couple and 2 kids). Living among the free roaming animals was so much fun. And then, at night, when the animals go to sleep, we had the whole back of the farm to ourselves, with a large bon fire with Farmer Paul left for us to enjoy. Would love to be back! Danny and Yelena.
This place is a hidden gem!
Shhh....don't tell anyone about this place. Its amazing, the animals are awesome, our hosts were rad and there is absolutely nothing bad to say about staying here. We cannot wait to go back. You will not be disappointed with all of the perks of staying here. We had the best weekend and are so glad we found Paul and his amazing farm.
Camping + animals = <3
My boyfriend and I loved our stay here at BeaverWood!! Farmer Paul was super nice, helpful, enjoyable to meet. We had so much fun hanging out with the animals. We were able to use the canoe and go to the local convenience store that was very close. We thought that was fun. Overall, it was a perfect camping trip. We will definitely be coming back!
Fabulous real camping for families
We had an absolutely fabulous stay. Farmer Paul is always ready to help if you need but gives all
The privacy you want also. He loves to talk to you about all his gorgeous animals And our kids has so much fun all day petting and cuddling the cows, sheep, piglet, goats and Thomas the turkey was a favourite. The site was wonderful and spacious and we stayed an extra night because we were so relaxed.
Greatest host greatest farm
Thank you so much, wonderful camp area with beautiful animals, next to the lake and forest, our hosts were very welcoming, generous. The farm was very clean. Don’t forget to ask for farm’s ground beef that u would never gonna get this quality, raised with love, in the city. Best ever fresh eggs were also offered . Paradise!
Amazing farm-camping experience!!!
This wasn’t just a camping trip, this was an interactive experience. I’ve never imagined a place where goats, cows & even a horse would walk right up to your site! It was such an awesome experience! They love to be pet and/or fed. If you’re an animal lover, this place can’t be beat.
I was concerned about the compost outhouse but it was super clean, didn’t smell at all and was conveniently located.
Paul & Madelyn couldn’t be sweeter. They went out of there way to make sure everyone had whatever they needed. We saw them bring patio table & chairs to guests in need. Firewood was plentiful and free. Canoe & kayaks also free to use. All of this for such a reasonable price!
Definitely an experience to remember. We plan to go back again soon. Lots of pregnant goats & even a cow are due soon. We want to see the babies!
One last note—the other campers for awesome! Kind, friendly and respectfully quiet at night.
Wonderful, peaceful and relaxing.
We had a great experience camping here. The site was kept neat and orderly. Overall it was a super peaceful experience. We even had a few of the farm animals come visit our camp! Nothing like waking up to a herd of friendly goats walking around.
