Hosts were very friendly and helpful. They allowed us to camp anywhere on the property, which was beautiful. We did a little exploring on the nearby trails. I would not recommend trekking too deep into the woods to set up camp if you have a lot of gear -- we brought more stuff than usual and it was not easy getting in with everything. This isn't a knock on the property itself, just a heads up for future guests. We would definitely recommend this place and would like to come back again. Beautiful mountain views, especially in the morning.
A perfect camp site and great hosts
Amanda and Christopher were incredible hosts, and we instantly felt like old friends being welcomed to their site. They gave very clear instructions and left a lit path for us to arrive safely to our camp late at night. There was firewood waiting for us at our camp site for a very affordable added price.
The site itself is better than most state park sites I have been at. Every day, we awoke to a massive field of flowers surrounded by thick forest and no other campers nearby, compared to waking up in a crowded public campground. We will definitely be back for another escape from the City.
Beautiful private campsite!
We had a wonderful time staying on Amanda's land! The campsite was a short walk through a patch of wildflowers and wild blackberries from the spot where we parked the car. The hosts welcomed us with their sweet baby in tow, and were quite helpful in making sure we had what we needed to get set up. We had a plentiful bundle of firewood waiting for us at the site, which was nice and private...no other campers in sight! They provided us with a portable commode (a bag lined bucket with a seat and a lid) to use as needed. There was a fire pit and two large, wide log cuts you can use as table tops or seats. There was plenty of space for three tents. We are searching for a home in the area, and the hosts were also very helpful in assisting with information, as they recently did the same. The best part was the night sky we were lucky enough to catch. It was a night with no moon or clouds, and we got to see the Milky Way and a few meteors! I highly recommend this site! We will be heading back for sure!
Nice, secluded site off a dirt road
The hosts were pretty illusive which we actually liked. We were grateful for the wheelbarrow they provided to bring our gear to the site. Apparently their neighbors have been giving them a hard time about having campers there but we weren't bothered in the slightest. Wish we could have stayed longer. Also, there were two puppers there who were the cutest little rascals ever!
We had a great time staying at Amanda's. The value for the price is unbeatable. Amanda was super responsive to messages and a gracious host.
The camp site provided plentiful privacy, despite being close to a nearby road, we never encountered another person near the campsite. It was also a reasonably short walk to the park area.
The hosts let you use a hose attached to their house to refill water as much as you need, and their two pups (Ripley and Pepper) always greet you with love.
I recommend Bramley Mountain Trail, which is just down the road and a solid couple hour hike.
Great campsite, fun dogs!
This was really great camp! The spot we had a incredible view, a sheltered spot for the tent, a great fire pit. Add ons like wood and kinling, bucket toilet, and tiki torch were awesome. Amanda’s family have two very fun dogs who were great to hang out with, and got a kick out of seeing the roosters in the morning. We really liked the 1/5 mile hike up the meadow to the camp spot, it made it feel less like car camping and more remote. Amanda’s recommended hike down the road was great and Delhi is a cute town. Highly recommended!
Into the woods was wonderful!
We absolutely loved staying at Amanda & family’s site. We were totally secluded, but not far from her family’s home. It was perfect! And the few things we bought were just what we needed! Everything was worth it. My twins are now hooked! As soon as we got back to the city they asked what’s on for next weekend! Thank you Amanda & your super fab family, animals and all!
