Although the location was close to beaches / shops the toilet wasnt accessable and kitchen wasnt useable gas bottles but no gas

We had a nice stay, we didn't get to meet Wendy but communication was clear.
Good location if you want to be near cafes and shops and close to the highway.

Wendy (and her family) was a wonderfully welcoming host and the property was perfect for what I needed - felt like I was in the country but wasn’t. Fantastic area - I’ll be back to do more exploring 😊

Positives: Good location near to Newcastle & beaches. The property had gated access, so we felt safe. There were some dogs on the property who visited from time to time, which our 10 yr old loved, and they were very friendly. The owner Wendy was lovely & kind and very easy to deal with. We loved watching the kookaburras and birdlife. We would stay here again.
Negatives: Several cock-a-doodle-dos "very early morning" alarms -when we wanted to sleep in (you might love this if you want to get up extra early and into the days activities). It is quite residential & overlooking the rooftop next door.
Added bonus: We did see the fireworks from the Lakes Festival, so that was a great surprise.

Property in a great spot right near everything. Plenty of room and a nice view towards the lake and also gardens to pick some fresh veges and herbs from. 👌

We loved staying at Permaculture Grove! My husband and toddler spent 3 night here in our campervan and a tent. Bring enclosed meant we didn’t need to worry about my son, the lawn was pristine and we were shaded by tall trees and gardens. The outdoor kitchen gave us somewhere to easily wash up, and we spent the days out at nearby beautiful beaches. And of course the chicken house was a big hit. We were even given some delicious fresh eggs for breaky!
A great spot with no resemblance of a big holiday park, but close to shops and amenities. Thank you Wendy and Fam, we will be back.

Really good spot to stay. I have a long wheelbase VW crafter. Easy to drive in and out.
Super quite at night and secure with sliding locking gate.

This is the perfect pkace to base yourself when visiting Newcastle .. port Stephens area .. its on an acre .. it has an anazing vege garden , food forest and you can help yourself .. great camp kitchen , one of t hge best backyard set ups l have seen ..even though you are surrounded by other neighbours it is still very private . Great view of the lake .. wendy is a very nice and kind host .. great value for money .. you're only 20 mins to Newcastle and 1 min from lake Macquarie enjoy

Great handy location and friendly hosts. Veges from the garden and eggs from the coop a real bonus. Nice and peaceful but close to everything.

This property has Location Location!
Beautiful view of the lake from the property, plenty of trees , you don't feel like you are in a suburb.
If you want to explore the beautiful Lake Maquarie and the beaches this is the spot for you.

The Paddock is an absolutely fabulous place to stay! Camped on my way from Canberra to Brisbane, a perfect, relaxing stop. Water views and a great garden full of bees and veggies. Would definitely stay again!

You can’t beat the location! Newcastle 30 mins away, but also so many other spots to explore with our dogs & kayak around Lake Macquarie. Great parks around the lake, off-leash beaches nearby (Redhead and Caves) and a state park to walk through as well. An excellent dog-friendly experience!
