There is tank water , a sink, preparation benches, a dining table and chairs, sideboard with cups plates cutlery glasses cooking utensils, wood fired stove with oven, pots pans frypan backing dishes and a gas BBQ. There is ample space next to the the shelter to pitch about eight family size tents. We have a long drop toilet, gas hot water, outside shower.

I absolutely loved my stay and so did my friends. It was so peaceful and the set up was perfect, all the things I needed to make my stay feel comfortable. It rained on the first night so the sleeping area upstairs was perfect. I can't wait to stay here again.
Absolutely perfect balance of nature & comfort for a weekend away with friends! Beautifully secluded with incredible surrounding walks to explore. Sharon & Ross were extremely welcoming - there was a fire lit & ready to go for us when we arrived on Fri night :) Will absolutely be visiting again!
Fantastic spot with great hosts. We had a large group with lots of kids and we all had a ball. Highly recommended.
This place is absolutely amazing, we have been here twice now and will definitely be visiting again. Host are very welcoming and friendly who have everything ready for you when you arrive. Beautiful location, quiet and no better place to sit around the fire. Hot shower is great. 100% recommend it.
Our stay at Platypus Pond was a delight! Sharon and Ross were warm and welcoming. The solitude and privacy was wonderful and worth every cent. The hot water although somewhat tricky to operate was an unexpected luxury, loved the shower. We will definitely be back!
Sharon was a wonderful host and very responsive to our questions leading up to our trip. We were all amazed on arrival, our own private retreat with incredible views for the weekend. The shelter and kitchenette facilities made our stay very homely. Very happy campers. We will be back! :)
Sharon and Ross could not have been more accommodating. Both of them lovely and friendly people who are happy to share one of the most amazing properties I’ve ever seen. Beautiful views of the escarpment looking east and some amazing creek views make for some truly special scenery. We’ll be back!!
