Old Bara is a stunning cattle property, often described as truly magical. Camp next to the creek and dogs are welcome! Old Bara offers so much more than just a place to park. Suitable for all size vehicles/vans/tents. Many sites available, avoid the crowds, we do not over crowd our campers. Only 25 mins easy drive to all the wonderful Mudgee wineries, cafes and restaurants. It's the perfect place to unwind and recharge the batteries. Give the kids a screen free holiday! Dogs are welcome as long as they on leads at all times except in the off leash paddock.

Camp in Mudgee
Camping in 'Baradise'
From the moment we arrived at Old Bara and were greeted by the delightful Sally and Richard, our stay was beautiful. Sally and Richard are the greatest hosts, full of fascinating and entertaining stories. And excellent tips as to which wineries to visit, or the best places to eat. It was our first-week giving campervan life a go to see if we liked it, with the view to later traveling around Australia. We LOVED it, not least because Old Bara is simply paradise and the campsite serene. We had stunning sunset views of the rolling hills and paddocks, and tons of stars in the sky. There was plenty of wildlife - kangaroos, wallabies, almost-black wallaroos (who were so beefed up they look like theyr'e on steroids!), and Sally and Richard's herd of cattle, who were so playful they ran alongside the fence, joining my husband on his morning run. But we were also very close to Mudgee so could easily get out for a day of fine food and wine at the various wineries. We will stay there again. Thank you Sally and Richard!

Loved every minute!!
We stayed on the campsite named Roo and I honestly can’t explain how beautiful it was!! Upon arrival we were met by Richard and Sally and they were both incredibly welcoming and friendly. We were then taken to our campsite and all I have to say is WOW! The views were incredible the campsite was large and extremely well kept. The toilets were only a short walk away and I would have to say they have to be the most well maintained and clean drop toilets I have ever seen!! Mudgee is about 35 minutes drive and such a beautiful clean little town. My kids went to the pool and water park and loved it. We can’t wait to come back to Old Bara!!!

Camp in Mudgee
A true Baradise
Old Bara camping certainly did not disappoint on our 5 night stay! + Hauling a 19’6” caravan through the property was effortless + Dog friendly…our boys loved it + The view from the picnic table (ask Richard about it) was unbelievable! Stunning place to watch the sun set. + Super clean accessible toilets and water to wash your hands + Privacy and seclusion, the nearest camper was at least 500m away…although this time of year super quiet + The wildlife - Birds, rabbits, roos, wallabies, cows, we were lucky enough to see a wombat as well. Only one (Red belly) snake sighting, which is pretty remarkable for this time of year. + The grass was cut nice and low + Short drive to Mudgee and the local wineries (25 minutes ish) + Sally and Richard were fantastic host who greeted us on arrival The only negative was that we had to leave. Thank you for our beautiful stay.

Great camping spot
Met Sally on arrival who was very welcoming, brought us to are camping area which was just freshly cut. The camp was very well maintained with super clean toilets. There is a great walk a couple of kms long on the farm that brings you to the top of a mountain, has a picnic bench. Will definitely stay again
