Come and camp on the banks of a creek, where the bushranger Ben Hall used to camp with his horses in the mid 1800s! The property is located smack bang in the middle of Young, Forbes, West Wylong and Cowra - taking about an hour to drive to each. The is plenty to do and see in the area, including exploring the nearby Weddin Mountains National Park and Bimbi State Forest. Just 20 minute North is the quaint town of Grenfell. Tucked into the beautiful Lachlan Valley, Grenfell is a fascinating gold rush town with great galleries, historic buildings and superb country pubs. There are also many events celebrating the town’s rich history and culture. Campers will enjoy flat, grassy sites on this 20 acre block. The creek is suitable for swimming, fishing, gabbling and paddling, and is quite wide in spots. This campsite suits self contained campers, who bring their own facilities and leave no trace. The access is via a dirt road (easy drive). You're welcome to bring your dog.Come and camp on the banks of a creek, where the bushranger Ben Hall used to camp with his horses in the mid 1800s! Ben Hall Creek Camp
One of our favourites! Vince is a great host. His farm is fabulous. Flat ground with plenty of shade, right on the billabong. Plenty of carp to keep our rods entertained, lol. Grenfell isn't too far away for all your grocery supplies, silo art and the Lions club coin operated hot shower.

Aussie day
We had a lovely time at the camping site during the Australia Day weekend. It was peaceful and relaxing. The spot we chose was next to the creek, with flat and solid ground for our camper. We wished we had brought our fishing rods, because there were a lot of carp swimming near the shore. Vince was a friendly and helpful host, and we enjoyed chatting with him.

Ben Hall Creek Camp
Great place, will go back
Awesome, lots of space, host was great. I wanted to swim in the water, I'm pretty loose but no. Also bullants, I forgot how they worked because I spent to much time in the city but they come out at night so those mounds are not abandoned. I poured a little citronella at the front of my test to keep them away not piss them off - very important (yes I did not set my tent up in a designated site so completely on me lol). I will definitely be back and it's very worth going out of your way for.
