I really enjoyed my stay on Lachlan's land. Lachlan was very welcoming and even delivered me the fire pit to my camping spot. There are plenty of great spots to choose from on his land as far away from others as you want. Special treat was the hot shower. Thanks for the stay!

Really great secluded site with shower, toilet and water. Brilliant location if you want a lush green campsite, short drive to surf, dive and fishing spots. Plus access to local shops for supplies and few cafes/takeaways if you’ve been slaving over a camp fire for too many nights. Lachlan is lovely, happy to chat and share local knowledge if asked. I’m definitely staying here again.

Araluen was even better than the pictures looked. Host Lachlan was really accommodating and kept the property and facilities very clean and tidy.
I loved how at maximum capacity it wasn't over crowded and there is a lot of space between everyone.
Access in and out is easy and I would come back in a heartbeat!
Looking forward to visiting again, thanks Lachlan for having us.

Great place to camp with small- medium size groups! Plenty of trees to find shade during the day. Location is excellent, such a beautiful area!

This was a lovely place to camp. It was quiet, not crowded, clean and tidy. Their outback toilet (flushing) and hot shower was great. It wasn’t far to the beach or the river.
The hosts were very pleasant and accommodating.
Our dogs absolutely loved it.

We had a nice stay here. Lots and lots of space and we enjoyed having a fire pit in the evenings. We brought our dog with us who loved swimming in the dam. Lachlan also brought out another portable toilet into the field when the campsite had more campers, which was appreciated.
To be picky, the only things that could be improved are:
1) The shower. The warm shower was great when other people hadn’t messed with the settings. Twice during my four night stay the central knob had been moved to ‘Summer’, which then meant the water was cold. It was impossible to get the knob to turn back to ‘Winter’ without force. I think something requires fixing there.
2) the water supply/sink. Having only one sink, which was also the potable water source, was not enough for the number of campers. There was frequently a queue to fill bottles, wash the pots or clean your teeth.

Lachlan is a wonderful host. The camp site is well maintained and enough space for kids to play around. Thanks for providing us the chairs. Will definitely camp again there if we decide to go near Forster.

A lovely secluded little hideaway. It was nice and close to Wallingat NP and not long a drive to surrounding beaches and Forster.

Absolutely loved Araluens open field and the classy but rustic facilities. Lachlan is super friendly and helpful. Visited Coomba Bay Wharf for a fish and swim, got supplies at the local garage, including a good cup of coffee. Great spot, highly recommend for something between bush and caravan park.

We stayed for the Australia day weekend with our two labradors. We loved the site ! Very spacious, green and a good amount of shade. We also appreciated Lachlans local knowledge. We will be returning:)

We had a lovely stay at Araluen. Friendly and welcoming hosts. The kids loved the chickens and roaming around. Great bush bathroom with hot shower. Lovely location and a short drive to the lake for swimming and boat ramp. Thank you, we enjoyed our stay.

Lachlan is a lovely & gracious host. The property was 5 degrees cooler than expected so we slept like logs. The number of campers was limited so we had loads if space. The toilet block & shower were unexpectedly good. We’ll be back, hopefully when it’s not so dry! Cheers for the fresh prawns Lach!

Loved this spot! A definite favourite of the many campsites we have experienced. A lovely open slashed paddock for campers and a beautiful little toilet and hot shower block! 100% recommend!

Loved staying here, plenty of space with a lovely outlook onto trees with lots of space between campers. Lachlan was a great host, friendly and helpful and available if needed. Would definitely stay here again.
