Indulge in a true Taos experience by bedding down in our beautifully painted teepee! Teepees are a very special fixture where we live and spending time in and around one quickly shows you why. When you arise in the morning, you'll step out your teepee to see a magnificent view of the mountains. The accommodations are entirely simplistic. And by simplistic, I mean the natural prarie grass is your flooring in the teepee. So be sure to bring appropriate bedding. Single person cot can be provided if needed. There is a yurt and a bus inhabited by those involved with the project. The property is 2 miles away from downtown Taos, its magnificently quiet with a rural feel and yet a very quick drive from the hustle and bustle of town! No electricity. No plumbing. No refrigeration. There is ample fresh well water available from our hand pumped well. The solar shower bag and bucket composting toilet system are rustic. *NOTE: SHOWER WAS EFFECTED BY OUR EXCITING TAOS WINDS! TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE*. The community center just a short drive away has showers that are available to the public for a small fee. There is a community outdoor kitchen that you are welcome to use the Coleman stove in. A calm and serene sleeping experience, with huge skies for star gazing! Breathtaking views of the sacred Taos Mountain.

Our first tee pee experience was great fun! The site is rustic as described; it’s not the Hilton, but that’s what makes it unique! We had lots of room (two of us) to spread out in the space for cooking and sleeping, and we were comfortable and cozy in our sleeping bags all night long. The well water tasted great, and we enjoyed learning of plans for the orchard! My Google map did re-route me, so if you’re coming in from out of town be sure to clarify road names to avoid getting lost.
