Sunny Mellow Eco Villa is the land with a great history. The QUIET, secret Shangra-La Valley just over the ridge from Route 66 (and I-40) was the camping place for Billy the Kid and his gang! They could quickly saddle up when the posted lookout on the ridge above signaled the passing of the stagecoach! Even more stunning, it was the Tijeras Indian Pueblo Tribe's place of roaming and rest. The land now sports an Organic Vineyard, Orchard and Vegetable Garden that guests my forage from when in bloom. A Large, Clean, Secluded Redwood Yoga Deck, Ping-Pong, Horseshoes, and a Giant Swing Set, along with patios and lounges that are found over the 8 acre land, and all joined by a network of Scenic Pathways and Bridges that connect The Vineyard, The Orchard, The Garden, The Solar Array, The Swing, The Yoga Deck, Ping Pong Terrace, Horse shoe Pit... Perfect Place and Feel The Akashic Records of Where Billy the Kid and his gang camped and the Tijeras Indians Lived! 8 Minutes to Albuquerque. 7 minutes to Cedar Crest, 20 minutes to The Infinite View off the Sandia Crest, 10 minutes to Edgewood. 50 minutes to Santa Fe. Chi-Treehouse at Sunny Mellow Villa

I love staying at hipcamps and this was easily one of my favorites! Gregory’s land was absolutely beautiful. The treehouse was very cute and cozy and well made— with ample blankets,pillows, books, and birds to serenade you while you wake up. I slept so well. Outside the treehouse is an adorable kitchen/dinning area(outside but covered) with everything you would need! Microwave, tea kettle, dishes, toaster oven… plenty of chairs and places to sit and relax. Even a yoga platform! I really enjoyed doing yoga and looking at the stars before bed. My favorite part though was the warm outdoor shower!! beautifully made. The bathroom was very nice for an outdoor bathroom. I really couldn’t recommend this place more and wished I had more time here. I will certainly be back! It was SO PEACEFUL! also, loved chatting with gregory, he was so kind and helpful!

Chi-Treehouse at Sunny Mellow Villa

Beautiful place and super cozy treehouse. I’m tall (6’8’’) but still slept comfortably laying diagonal. Fire pit and outdoor shower were delightful, and Greg is a great host.

Blessed Enchanting Yurta

This is my second stay and came back specifically because I love it so much the first time. There is so much amazing detail, love thought and care put into this enchanted spot just walking the grounds you can definitely feel a blessed energy. Will definitely be back again and recommending to my friends and family.

The Yoga Yurta at Sunny Mellow

Peace and Nature Filled Night

I loved spending time at The Yoga Yurta! Gregory's property is absolutely stunning and he was a great host who met us at the yurt and explained the property layout and gave food recommendations even though we got in later than we intended to. One night here was not enough, we are already looking for reasons to go back to the area to stay a weekend at this gorgeous and peaceful place.
