This is a camp with 160 acres bordering US Forest Service land; we have beautiful views and easy access to Shaggy Peak, the beginning of the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range, as well as views of forest ridges and peaks in all directions. Wander our land, or take a 20 minute hike to a creek in the forest, or climb up Shaggy Peak (about 4 hours round trip hiking), depending on your activity level.
We offer lots of space for tent-camping and have several tree-houses available as well.
We are down a dirt road away from the hustle and bustle of town... sense and hear the depth of nature, wildlife and silence.
This property has been a summer camp for kids for 30+ years, and now is expanding to welcome campers and adults. You can set up your tent with a lot of solitude, or upgrade to a rustic cabin or tree-house.
Either way, have access to our bath house with flush toilets, sinks and showers. There is also an outdoor communal kitchen with fridge and stove that is usually available to use. We also have a hot tub! (age 18+, or with adult supervision)
And the stars and moon shine brilliantly here!
We are about a 25-30 minute drive from downtown Santa Fe.

The vibe at Santa Fe Camp: Forest & Tree Houses

This property was wonderful! It was far enough away from town that it was quiet and the night sky was breathtaking with the clarity of the stars and milky way. But it was close enough that within 20 minutes, you can be in Santa Fe. Bansi was incredibly kind and showed us around the site and recommended some things for us to do in town (which was awesome). The camp sites are all well taken care of and very clean. I would highly recommend this property and would stay here again.
I loved everything about this place. Its nice to relax and grt away from all the noise. Nights are lovely and days are full of wildlife and hikes. I loved that i could bring my canine friend! There is a communal kitchen, you use you clean. Bathrooms, with showers. A hot tub to relax and look out at the stars! I can't wait to visit again. It was completely comfortable and out in the middle of a Forrest. I can't compliment this place enough. It was wonderful
As a tent camper this was perfect! Tent in the wilderness, but with the luxuries of a kitchen, fridge , hot showers, flush toilets, and a HOT TUB! These are now very welcome amenities in my camping life. Only problem was finding it, I stopped for directions from local police, who came checking behind me ti see that I didn't get lost. That alone made me feel safe, that the police have the time to help lost visitors!
This was such a beautiful place to camp! Bansi was very helpful in getting us oriented with the features of the Tree House Camp. There were beautiful mountain views, stunning stars, and bathroom facilities a short walk from our site. We would absolutely go back! The hot tub was definitely an added bonus too...
Absolutely beautiful place in the forests of the Sangre De Cristo mountains. Hosts were super nice. We upgraded to a tree house, a pretty minimal structure but saved us from spending time setting up a tent so well worth it. The tree houses have open air windows so you still have the outdoor feel which was great. The icing on the cake is the hot tub which makes the perfect closer to a day of adventuring. Next time I would bring groceries to utilize the awesome open air community kitchen.
Camp was just as described (no cell phone service but we were warned of this in advance by the hosts so we were prepared). We were greeted enthusiastically and got the lay of the camp. Site was secluded and beautiful, everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We even asked for a last minute upgrade from a tent site to a tree house due to weather concerns and were accommodated with no issues.
Beautiful surroundings at the Santa Fe forest and the price is such a bargain! My only hope is that the campsite’s treehouse beds and kitchen area will be cleaned up a little bit!
