Located in the high desert (4300 ft) of the Southwest, we are a guest ranch, and we have multiple areas for you to RV boondock or tent camp. We also have a few 30/50 amp plug in spots. This is a private gated ranch. We are a working ranch and there is also a 501(c)3 non profit charity organization that keeps 9 horses there. The ranch is home to 35 +- Equines (Horses, Mules, Donkeys) with a horse and buggy driving school. We do not rent riding horses or have riding horses/lessons. Only driving horses. You may schedule a carriage ride for an extra fee. The non profit called Equine Safe Haven, a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization teaches horsemanship and carriage driving, using horses that were discarded in their older age and on the list to transport to Mexico for slaughter. Some of these are x harness racing horses, and/or used in life by the Amish - and at an older age they were no longer useful to them. Equine Safe Haven at SaddleHawk Ranch purchased 9 driving horses for the Veterans and Disadvantaged driving program. Come pet and love on them, as they have a second chance in life and the program makes a difference to those that are economically or physically disadvantaged. We have water hydrant fill stations, and a BBQ area for you to use. Please ask when you arrive. We can accommodate any size RV up to and including tractor trailers. We have two 50 amp sites and one 30 amp site if you need electric. Check in info: CHECK IN TIME: BETWEEN 2pm and 8pm -if you are tent camping please get here before sunset - it gets VERY dark here (great for stargazing) , and hard to see in the back acreage. If you come in after dark, we will park you up front. Gate locks by 8pm and unlocked at 7:30am. NOTE: THE GATE IS LOCKED BETWEEN 8pm and 7:30am. Checkout is by 11am.
