For the best views of stars you will ever see, pitch your tent on the top of our property with astounding views of the San Mateo peak during the day. If you prefer the shelter of our ancient cottonwood trees (not safe during windy season!) and the proximity of the creek, you can pitch near our sheep field. We are close to The Grand Enchantment Trail, and apparently hikers come down Monticello Canyon when trying to connect some of the NM legs. You might get a chance to pet our mini horses, a goat, a turkey, a chicken, a cat and definitely lots of dogs. The barbados sheep will not let you near them! Fresh produce and eggs are available for sale from our farm as available. We are open to backpackers and eco-conscious, nature loving people who are ok with rustic settings. We go to bed around 10, and expect quiet at that time. Our dogs do bark at night if they see/hear anything around the house, which is a cob/earthen off-grid home on the lower side of our property, which is why camping on the top may be preferred if you are a light sleeper. This isn't a party spot. We are seeking to host campers passing through, and can give farm tours and experiences at an additional cost.
