The Ortiz Mountains and enchanting Cerrillos Hills surround us. Our stars shine brighter than most, and coyote songs will remind you that you're dwelling amongst the high desert wildlife. The 1 3/4 mile road to Little Dancing Horse Ranch is not for everyone. I will reiterate this a couple times in this listing to make sure people understand that we live on a rocky, dirt road. Some folks find it not to be a big deal while others do. Most vehicles most of the time can make it fine if it's taken slowly although high clearance vehicles are ideal. During the rare big rain or snow 4 wheel drive may be needed. It's advisable to check the weather in advance.

      Flo, the High Desert Bus
      Incredible, Beautiful Space
      This is one of the most incredible hipcamps we have ever stayed at! Flo is an absolute gem and we will definitely be back. These hosts thought of everything and created a lovely space- it has a comfortable, clean bed, stocked kitchen, solar shower and we have even had the company of the kind resident dogs in the morning. Book this!

      Secluded and Serene
      I loved staying in this bus in such a quiet and beautiful area. Host is very relaxed and kind :) Cozy bed and resident dogs were the highlight! I came up in a rental Hyundai Elantra and made it through the road just fine.

      We had a great time staying in Flo! It was a perfect tucked away area. We loved how quiet the area was. There is a small town near the bus that was fun to explore!

      Everything was just as pictured. We had a wonderful and cozy stay despite the cold temperatures. Highly recommend Flo, but do be prepared, as mentioned, for the road to get to her.

      The High Desert Moonshine Studio
      Secluded and serene studio
      Great studio with wonderful views and very accommodating hosts. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this secluded and peaceful environment. After two weeks of camping in the woods a hot shower, comfortable bed and access to electricity was more than welcomed.
