Here, you'll find nothing but a connection to nature. At 7,400 ft. elevation, with high-desert sands and beautiful, shady pines and junipers across more than 4 acres, the sky doesn't just feel closer, it definitely is! A star-gazers and bird-watchers haven.

Take a morning walk around the dirt roads surrounding the land or enjoy your coffee/tea and breakfast in the Sun Circle before visiting the wolves at the Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary (check hours and Covid-19 restrictions) just up the hill. At night while you're gazing at the stars you can hear the wolves howl and, sometimes, the coyotes will call back. It really ties the desert experience together!

The property is mostly undeveloped so your experience with nature will not be disturbed, and it is mostly private from the road, with that said, self-sufficiency is a must. There are markers and signs to indicate where vehicles can go, though low-gear is always recommended. There are a handful of neighbors but they will likely keep to themselves, and some supplies can be found at the Ancient Way Cafe about 20 minutes away, also some of the worlds nicest people. Locals in the area are helpful and friendly and the sights surrounding the area are spectacular. Check out El Morro National Monument or the ice caves nearby, as well.

Road was a bit hard to find but site was secluded. Listening to the wolves how at night was amazing! Great little hideaway.

A little tough to get to on the sand/mud, but once I was at camp it was very quiet and calm. Would certainly book again because of the location to the wolf sanctuary and affordability.

Second time staying here. Saw the wolves down the road and had a quiet place to camp afterwards. Will 100% return whenever I am in the area.
