Description

Of all the places to stay on Cochiti Lake, we feel like Cochiti Campground is definitely a strong front-runner. Fishing docks make this an angler's paradise, and the swimming beaches are the perfect spot to build some prize-worthy sandcastles. Whether you're hiking and biking the trails, or reliving your childhood at the nearby playground, it's hard to go wrong hanging out in front of such beautiful scenery.

New Mexico State Parks wins again! This campground is super reasonable (only $12/night). The facilities are super clean and new. Bathrooms include free push-button showers. If you're lucky, you can snag a spot that looks right out onto the lake too. It's a good basecamp if you're exploring the Santa Fe area.

Very large and modern campground. All pavement and concrete paths to the sites. Not easy to get to the lake itself from the campground as you have to drive there or walk all the way back to the entrance and then back down the boat ramp.

Attentive staff.

Great view of the lake. Paved camping with shade.
