One tent is outfitted with a camping toilet and biodegradable waste bags, and the other is is outfitted with a 5 gallon solar heated shower.

The bed sleeps two comfortably.  If you bring cots, you can host two more people or kids at the casita.  It will be tight but it can work!

There is a space heater inside the casita to keep you warm during the colder season.

Once you step out, you will smell Pinon Pine and be footsteps away from Sapillo Creek, a hike or short drive (4 min) to Lake Roberts, and the Gila National Forest.

Some of the mesas of the Mogollon Mountains still boast pottery and artifacts that date back to the Mogollon Indian civilizations hundreds of years ago.

This is a leave no trace casita, so please take out all of the trash that you make on the property, including your bio-waste or you can bury it at least 75 feet away from the casita and other buildings on the property at the end of your stay.

The host was wonderful and the Casita was super cute! Very nice spot! I bring my 2 small chickens(in a pen, of course) with me when I travel and they seemed to be ok with that. My dog had a great time playing with their dog. Also the bed was super comfortable. Big plus!
Enjoyed the stay there very much and will most likely stay there again!

Our stay at the casita was peaceful
Comfortable and revitalizing . We came prepared with camping gear but everything we needed was already there ... from flashlights and toilet paper ,To fishing poles and bait. Our requests and questions were graciously addressed by the onsite hostess ,Jennifer. Great place for stargazing . The casita was nicely organized and decorated

This glamping site was just as we had expected, based on its hipcamp description, and even better!!
"Better" because, once there, we discovered that we could walk the back way (the shortcut) to Lake Roberts; we could also hike freely in the National Forest, which begins just 50 feet or so behind the casita.
To top it off, the bed was super-comfy and the mini-fridge has a freezer compartment that WORKS!!! I/we would definitely come back, if the circumstances allowed.

I used to spend a lot of time as a child with my family in the Gila and it was wonderful to find this little casita to stay at. it was very clean and had all the essentials, plus a very comfortable bed. We brought our own camping equipment, but the kettle and extra skillets were very useful to us. The only thing that was odd to me was that there are only two windows that do not open, so we had to leave the door open at night to keep fresh air circulating. With the door screen to keep bugs out, it worked out quite well. For the first time in months, I found myself actually relaxed! So thank you! Hope to come back.
