Description

On the other side of the Caballo Dam is Riverside Campground, nestled along the shores of the Rio Grande. AKA, if you’re here to fish or for some peace and quiet, this place is your jam! There’s showers, accessible sites, and plenty of room for tents and RVs. The circular setup means you’ll make some friends. Head out with your new neighbors to Apache Canyon, which is close by and gives you full access to Caballo Lake.

We rented riverside #53 with all the hookups. The camp host was welcoming and friendly. A big difference from our last visit a year ago. This camp host even gave us some of his firewood and some firestarter so we could have a relaxing evening by the campfire. The campsites are kept clean and everything you need is right on the site. A great place for a bike ride or morning and evening walks. We can't wait to go back. No issues leaving and coming back to camp with our permit displayed on the window.
