As you cruise down Route 66 through Native lands a desire builds to be one with your surroundings, to experience the land the way those who came before us did. Raw, unedited, unmodified by modern society. This land offers that without being out of the way. It is a super short drive off of Route 66, with the only thing between you and your destination being a great little Native American store with a wide selection of Falsa blankets, dream catchers, and wood carvings. As we settled into camp we were in awe of the mountains jutting into the sky, perfect red stones speckled with a green brush. This land felt very wild, very pure, and very much like a time machine into a world where all there was land, sky, mountain.
