With the quaint waters of Shotwell Pond just a stone’s throw away from your tent flap, you can’t go wrong with crashing here. Did we mention the forested beauty, rugged mountainsides, and grassy green fields also make this place amazing? With miles of trails ready for exploration, pond waters waiting to be fished, and campfires begging to be stoked, it’s about time you pitch that tent of yours. While you’re here, don’t forget to check out Stepping Stone Falls or Tillman’s Ravine for some more scenic beauty.

stayed at cabin 12, remote location. This cabin area is in a great section of the park and was very quite in early spring. Easy access to the AT and High Point State park.
