HIPCAMP OF THE YEAR! Rated #1!
The perfect escape for our family
This was perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life for our family. Our 2 boys (7 and 5) can’t stop talking about how much fun they had. My wife was transported back to her days growing up in Colorado floating down the river. But the member of our party who may have enjoyed himself the most is our golden retriever, Rocky. He spent hours swimming up and down the river chasing sticks, leaves, and occasionally, his human brothers. The camper itself was spotless and comfortable for our family of 4+dog. The hosts were responsive, friendly, and accommodating. 5 stars and we hope to be back soon.

Roam Free, Then Head Into Town
I don't know what was better the location of this camp or how clean and well supplied the RV was. The location was fabulous. Remote and private but so close to numerous hiking trails. There was also a nearby paved trail that allowed us to quickly bike or walk into the town of Clinton to get lunch or ice cream. My older kids loved being able to bike on their own into town and the younger kids and dog loved roaming the trails. Neil's listing and reviews said the camper was "well stocked" but that was an understatement. It had everything we needed for cooking and serving. Towels and make-up wipes were even included. Best of all every inch of the camper was incredibly clean. We were the first people of the season to use the camper after it was de-winterized so we had one or two hiccups related to that but Neil addressed everything promptly. My husband and I said we'd love to come back without the kids to really explore the area.

Convenient, Clean and FUN!
We just had an amazing time at Neil's place! We went tubing and fishing down the river. Following the trails was so easy thanks to the map and information provided. The RV was spotless and all the necessary amenities were provided. Can't believe it was only an hour+ from NYC! When we noticed the gas tank for the BBQ grill was empty, Neil took the time to drive to the site to provide us a new one. We are happy to be able to support the local business by purchasing bins of honey and beautiful flowers from his neighbour, too! So happy we chose this site for our ultimate social distancing glamping. Thanks again, Neil!!

Perfect getaway!
This was the perfect space for a distanced getaway! The land is beautiful, the accommodations were lovely and there are great things around to make the most of your time. The stream is lovely, the trails and the water are perfect. The deer, bunnies and foxes just add to the scenery. The only advice I’d add is the house is just before the bridge if you’re headed south on Hamden road and after if you’re headed north. Make sure to get some local honey and bring an inflatable tube if you can! Everything one needs is provided for you! I can’t say enough good things about my stay!

Speechless and very happy
The place was amazing, I never have been in a such clean place like that. Was extremely peaceful and yes very private! The RV was very spacious and loaded with all the tools that we needed! The host Neil was very helpful and fast response and he is very friendly and funny! :) the property has a lot of trails and the water is closed. The city of Clinton is very close (4 to 5min) and you can shop and eat, it is very charming town. I highly recommend this place! Thank for everything Neil!

Relaxing, beautiful, entertaining,
It was a very beautiful site. The guide book gave us lots suggestions on places to eat and go explore.neilwas very helpful with directions and explanation with the running og trailer . The area is very beautiful. Highly recommend this place .
