Camp space was a cheery, artistic, and fun section of the large yard of a farm-style house. The glamping tent was comfortable, pleasantly waterproof, and had space to easily hold 2 plus a broad set of personal effects, instruments, and gear. The space is well-decorated and fanciful, with a range of curated and wild spaces in the yard. There is a creek and a number of working farms nearby. Not necessarily a private space and is close to house and with a shared fire pit, but it makes up for it in charm. Hosts were both courteous and fun. The outhouse was charming and clean (with federally-mandated moon decoration) and there was water for cleaning and refilling.

A backyard sleepover

We were amiably greeted by the hosts of Camp Griffin and were given everything that we might have needed. It was wonderful to be able to bring our dog, although her being there very much excited the host's energetic pups. The camp is plot of land that hosts a beautiful home and a few other structures that offer a variety of camping experiences: areas to pitch tents, a tipi, a yurt, and even rooms inside the house. While we were up for a communal experience and went in with expectations of having less privacy than we normally would while camping, the place quickly filled up with people arriving late into the night. We knew others would be joining the site, but perhaps didn't do enough research or ask enough questions about the reality of actually how many guests would be staying at a time. If you're eager to meet many new people and don't mind the noise and close quarters of a backyard sleepover party, then this is an ideal place to stay. The cost of the space is quite high, considering the lack of privacy available. I would recommend Camp Griffin to those who had a better understanding of what to expect, especially in this time of Covid 19 where people might prefer to practice more social distancing. I take responsibility for not asking more questions and still do consider it to be an overall positive experience.
