I never write reviews however this spot deserves one! This honestly was one of the nicest camping spots we’ve been. The host were very welcoming and it was a great spot for our kids. We definitely will be back. If you like rustic camping this was a wonderful spot!
Ideal camping venue
Sweet Song is an ideal camping venue. The campsites are tucked into the trees along a small river. Our site featured a nice fire pit, a picnic table, some complimentary split wood (plenty more around you to gather and burn), and space to park a few cars right at the site. Tina, Chiefy, and their kids were lovely hosts. The best part of the venue in my opinion is the fact that cell phone service doesn’t work at the sites themselves, but you can walk up the hill about 50 yards to get a signal. Makes for true downtime enjoying nature, the way camping trips are supposed to be, but still allows you to plug in to call home or handle logistics. Note that the outhouses are very nice quality, but depending on which site you get ladies may find it a bit of a nuisance to get to one often if you’re not comfortably going in the woods. Ours was about 100 yard walk to the nearest outhouse.
The absolute best hosts!
Chiefy and Tina were the best hosts ever! They were so welcoming, flexible and really cared that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We will definitely be returning to their beautiful land soon. Our secluded spot was the perfect getaway and it was right on the river which was so nice in the hot sun.
What a gem! We had an amazing experience camping at Sweet Song Acres. The campsite was roomy and offered lots of privacy and access to wading in the river. There are great family friendly swimming holes nearby. The hosts could not have been more friendly and accommodating! Sitting by the campfire listening to the river and looking at a sky full of stars - doesn’t get much better than that. We will definitely be back!
Great new camping spot! A number of spots, each seem to be a bit different. The hosts are phenomenal! Super friendly, informative, and helpful, we had a group with 4 vehicles and with some quick communication Chiefy and Tina worked some magic to make our stay perfect!
We stayed here for 2 nights. Plenty of walking/ hiking available in the back trails. Outhouses and sites were very clean and well kept. The family was so welcoming and lovely. They checked in on us and delivered ice and firewood right to our site. Absolutely recommend!
This site was gorgeous. In a time when we needed a get away more than ever, our weekend spent at sweet song acres was so refreshing. Tina and Chiefy were kind, helpful, and responsive. We felt they went above and beyond to make sure we were having a good time and had everything we needed. We are so excited to come back again!
Beautiful and peaceful campground right next to a gorgeous river. Chiefy and Tina have though of every detail to make you feel welcome and comfortable (including a vase of flowers on the picnic table, a fire pit, passing by in the morning to offer coffee). The property has trails for hikes in the woods and is very close to the Connecticut River where you can do kayaking or canoeing, as well as to other mountain trails. Wonderful location! We will come back!
First i would like to give a big thanls to Tina and Chifey. They are amazing people, making sure we had everything we needed. Very helpful if looking for things to do. Our campsite was on the river, so that was my plans. If your looking to get away from the stressful lives we are all living in now, this is the place!! Welcome back to nature! We will be back!!
