Can't recommend enough
Fantastic spot. The owners are wonderfully friendly and their dogs alone are worth the trip. We had the spot to ourselves so I can't speak to how it would be with separate groups booked - but alone, its pretty majestic waking up in a dewy orchard. The rest of the grounds we only really explored an hour before heading out - although I wish we had dedicated more time to them. With the stream, meadows, and forests, you really don't need to go elsewhere for a solid adventure. My dog rolled in some gunk (as dogs do) and they were more than happy to give us some soap and towels to get her clean again. A small thing but appreciated. The host Laura gave us an awesome food recommendation as well. And again - I cant emphasize enough how much I loved their dogs. My dog was in heaven bounding up a stream with two new hilariously goofy friends. The only thing to keep in mind is that the actual driveway to the farm is tough to find, especially at night; there's no sign or number and we missed it a few times. The google map placement of the address was a bit off so don't freak out if you get there and it's just a road. They most likely would have given better directions if we had asked...but we're silly and we didn't. Not at all a downside, just something to remember when you book a stay (and you absolutely should, because this spot is a slice of fried gold)
Situated in a secluded location, you get to camp out next to an apple grove; couldn't ask for a nicer place to be. Would recommend this site to anyone who wants to get away and decompress! The hosts are polite, helpful, and give you as much space as you'd hope for during a camping trip. Highly recommended!
Wonderful place to camp. Easily accessible by car with plenty of space for parking. Lots of options for campsites, including a small forested steam and an orchard. The outhouse was extremely clean. Lots of great fishing nearby, including trout stream down the road and a pond across the street.
Finally Found Forest was a lovely place to camp. Our hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating, allowing us to use their outhouses and water spigot and even drive our cars right down to the campsite. We had a lovely campsite at the bottom of the orchard. would definitely recommend this spot to others.
We arrived to a friendly pair of hosts, the kids and the two dogs. It was a good vibe right off the bat, very friendly and accommodating hosts and a very well kept camp site. A previous camper had left us a bundle of wood under the tree in the clearing down by the apple orchard. It was absolutely enchanting at night. In the morning the dogs came down and said hi, and for belly rubs. With cat fishing in the small pond across the street, a tiny town 10 miles away for supplies and 20 ft swimming hole within driving distance in Redding Vermont, we will definitely be going back at some point. Also if you don't by a jar of the maple syrup made on the property, shame on you. Best in new England I've had by far. Thanks again!
Easy to get to directionally, flat areas for tents and fire pits right at the site! Owner allowed us to drive directly down to our site which was really nice. They gave great suggestions and were so friendly!
Location and area was absolutely phenomenal during our night stay here. Hosts were exceptionally friendly and helped us out right when we arrived on where the set up and what was in the area. Would highly recommend!
We can’t wait to return!
Laura and James were wonderful hosts and their property is equally fantastic. The campsite are scattered around the farm and there are mowed trails connecting them to one another and the outhouse (which by the way, is very clean and user friendly). James and Laura were so helpful when we asked for hiking and swimming suggestions. At the same time, they were also very mindful of our privacy and gave us plenty of space to just do our own thing. This was my first time using this app and I’m so happy with our experience. We will be back!
