The Captain Woodbury Guesthouse borders the hill-top town common, we are a country bed and breakfast inn that serves breakfast from our own-grown produce. We have space available for tenters who prefer to rough it and a nice fire pit with ample firewood available. The large farmhouse has an adjoining shop with plates, cups, utensils, refrigerator and microwave oven where hipcampers can fix their own meals. A small farm breakfast can be requested in advance @ $5 each) and a full country breakfast is an option each day (request in advance @ $10 each).
There are many trails in the town center and hillside views from the bell-tower of the famous Acworth meetinghouse including Mt. Monadnock. Crescent Lake has a boat launch for boating and swimming and is an easy 4 mile drive/bike ride away. Fishing is just two miles down the hill in the Cold River. An old fashion village store is also just 2 miles down the hill in South Acworth and available for lunches. A great wood-fired pizza oven, where locals prepare pizzas every Saturday evening (5:30 pm - 7:00 pm) with live entertainment, is located at the South Acworth Village Store (July to October)

This is a beautiful area of the state! The area is very peaceful and quiet, and the sites are located in the backyard of a quaint bnb. There is plenty of parking, and you can either tent camp in the back of the yard or park and camp closer to the front of the house, and both areas have access to fire pits. There’s even a zipped up outdoor picnic area for when the weather is warm enough, as well as an indoor area with a fridge and microwave and very clean compost toilets. The outdoor shower and sinks are right around the corner, too! The hosts were very kind and welcoming, and offered to start the fire for me as well. There’s access to the living areas inside the bnb until 9pm with coffee and flushing toilets. Overall, would recommend a stay here if you’re looking for a quiet stay and are in the area!
