Live like a local less than 12 minutes from Franconia Notch.

***WINTER CAMPERS*** Please note our site is not plowed, shoveled, salted, or sanded in winter. On-street parking is not permitted—consider packing a shovel and be prepared to use it during snowy conditions. Ensure you are equipped with winter survival gear. Please note our cancellation policy below and plan ahead!

Our site is just up the road from some of the most famous hikes, overlooks, swimming holes, formations, and ski resorts in New England—and 25 minutes from the Kancamagus Highway, connecting the eastern and western White Mountains and counted among the most scenic drives in America.

You will never run out of things to do in any season or weather. This site is less than 15 minutes from Cannon Mountain, Echo Lake Beach, Profile Lake, Mt. Lafayette, and less than 25 minutes from Flume Gorge, Clark's Trading Post, the seasonal Ice Castles, downtown Lincoln, the Hobo Railroad, North Woodstock, Loon Mountain, Bretton Woods, Mt. Washington, the Cog Railway, and so much more.

Our 5-acre forest features just a single private campsite, with a huge tenting platform, granite fire pit, and a rocky creek passing right by the site. From the two-car parking area, a 200-ft. trail winds through the woods, over a wooden stream crossing, and ends at the site itself set far back from the road.

Modern conveniences are also close by. It's 5 minutes to the nearest grocery / convenience store, 5 minutes to Rek-Lis Brewing, 13 minutes to Polly's Pancake Parlor (our favorite) and countless other restaurants. 17 minutes to the nearest medical facility.

Other Notes and Important Things:

- Please pack out all trash. Cleaners are in high demand in this region and we will have to charge a steep retroactive cleaning fee if any trash is left at the site.

- Likewise please let us know ASAP if trash is present when you arrive.

- The tenting platform is 12 ft. wide on its narrowest edge. It's flat and dry, but there are no anchor points for stakes or lines. Freestanding tents are best, or you may want to pack extra-long guy lines.

- Don't forget the bug spray, especially in Summer! That goes for all campsites in the White Mountains, especially creekside ones like ours.

- A portable toilet with privacy tent is available at the back of the site. Please use the provided trash bags as liners and pack them out if used. Odor-absorbing pine shavings are provided.

- Please observe quiet hours between 9PM and 9AM everyday.

- Cell coverage is surprisingly strong here. You should have direct 4G LTE access on Verizon and AT&T, and 4G extended coverage on T-Mobile / Sprint.

- You may want to pack a wood splitting axe. Feel free to burn any dead, fallen, or cut wood on the premises, but all firewood must be less than 5 inches in diameter.

We stumbled upon this campsite looking for a place near the White Mountains, and we felt like we hit the jackpot! The site is a short walk from the parking area on a very well-marked trail. There is a large platform that could fit multiple tents if needed (though we just had one) and there was the peaceful sound of the stream flowing right by the site. Additionally, Franconia Knob State Park is a short drive away and is beautiful! Christopher was communicative and available if we needed anything; I definitely would stay here again!

This place is awesome. The location is perfect and the site is beautiful. Just far enough away from anyone to feel secluded but right down the street from stores, food, breweries etc. Super close to a whole bunch of points of interest and you cant beat falling asleep to the sound of running water.

This site was perfect. So secluded, had everything you could need, complete with a water source, tent platform, and private area for going to the bathroom and changing. Would highly recommend! And in a beautiful area of New Hampshire.

This site was kind of amazing and surpassed expectations. It was surprisingly easy to find from the road but extremely private at the same time. Beautiful ambiance with the creek nearby and the amenities are useful. The location also is perfect for hiking and access to small town less than 5 min away with options for food, firewood and beer. Just book this place.

Cool, private spot very close to the White Mountains. After failing to secure a FCFS reservation at one of the public spots, I booked a last-minute night stay at Christopher's Land and was so grateful! Located near a residential area but felt secluded, private, and safe. Clean pop-up bathroom and the fire area's 2 chairs + table were a nice addition :) Stream is super close and made putting out the fire and boiling water a breeze. Platform is huge and the perfect place to set a comfy sleeping spot. What else can I say except I felt super lucky to score this spot before doing the Franconia loop this weekend- will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. It was perfectly secluded and a very short walk from the car. The Adirondack chairs and the tent platform were a nice touch! It is also an amazing location close to town as well as endless hiking opportunities!

Christopher was an awesome hist! he answered all of my questions quickly, and the site was beautiful. Everything was clean and kept up. The tent platform was large enough to fit our two tents. Also being right next to a brook/stream was very pleasant to sleep next to. We will definitely be booking here again!

It was way better to stay here over some crowded campsite where I could hear everyone sneeze. I loved the fact that i couldn't see anyone yet I was close enough to the road.
