Breakwind Farm is 226 year old 6 acre property located in a quaint and rural community just outside of Concord NH. In the summer months we have a small organic herb and vegetable garden and sell our produce at our farm stand. Our property runs along the Contoocook River where you can swim and explore by canoe, paddleboard or kayak. We are also within walking distance to Elm Brook State Park with walking/xcountry trails, swimming, picnic and recreational facilities. For hiking, scenic vistas, and auto roads, Pat's Peak is a 10 minute drive, Mount Kearsage State Park is 20 minutes north, and Mount Sunapee, less than 30 minutes. If you like the adventure of mountain biking, dirt biking or ATV riding, bring your vehicles because we have 2 parks located near us; Clough State Park in Weare, NH, and the Hopkinton-Everett Recreation park down the street. Love golf? Duston Country Club golf club is a ten minute drive. Our town may be rural but the capital of New Hampshire, Concord, is just 15 minutes away where you have access to shopping, restaurants and cultural events. The White Mountains, Boston and seacoast are also within 1- 1 1/2 hours by car or bus. As you can see there is no shortage of activities in the area, however if you would just like to sit and watch the garden grow, please feel free to enjoy the solitude, or we would always welcome help with gardening and picking vegetables if you are so inclined. In the evening, relax by the fire pit and enjoy the sound of the peepers and crackling fire, or indulge in the warmth of the outdoor hot tub* (not available in summer, river is more relaxing anyway!). Come and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city traffic and enjoy the country life for a few days or a week. You will feel refreshed and renewed and won't be disappointed ...like us, you'll probably never want to go back! *Our hot tub is usually available on a first come first served basis. We do host guests in one or two additional bedrooms at the Cape Farmhouse next door. Please ask for instructions before using. The fire pit cannot be lit on windy days...

Solar Powered Tiny House Getaway!
We loved it!
Great experience! The location was beautiful, stargazing at night is perfect, opportunity for plenty of privacy as well as the opportunity to meet new people by the bonfire! The tiny home was nothing I’ve experienced before, functional yet modern and comfortable to boot! I would recommend this for a couple looking to get away from the city and all the noise. The hosts Patty and Rick are amazing hosts!

Solar Powered Tiny House Getaway!
My husband and I were looking for a quiet place to celebrate our 8th anniversary and we were so happy to find this tiny house! We had a great time here. This little house is very new, clean and very stylish, and it has pretty much everything you need, water, fire pit, outdoor grill, cooking ware and utensils, a fully functional kitchen, and a really comfortable mattress. There is only cold running water in the tiny house but you can take a hot shower in the farmhouse not far away. It was kind of buggy but you can find a lot of bug repellent and bug coils there so we were fine. Patti and Rick are very friendly and thoughtful. They were away when we arrived, but Patti texted me ahead of time and sent instructions (which were very specific and helpful) on how to navigate around. When they were home, Patti stopped by to say hi and showed us around the farm. Very happy that we discovered this place. Will come back when the solar power system is fully functional. Already recommended it to friends!

Come to Breakwind Farm's fabulous little glamping oasis by the Contoocook river. It provides a lovely, peaceful outdoor setting. If you're looking for solitude, reflection, reading, writing, kayaking, biking, hiking, ambiance by the fire, cooking outside on the grill....then this little slice of tranquility is a must visit. Patti and Rick thought of it all and loved all the creative touches to making the camp comfortable.

'71 mini retro camper @ Breakwind!
Loved our glamping experience here! Patti and Chis have an enormous backyard that really feels more like a big field. Their cute little camper is located in the woods right outside the yard- a far enough distance away from the house that you have privacy. There's lots of thoughtful touches such as a gas fire pit, a tented "living room" area, and solar firefly lights at night. The highlight of this spot is that it's located right on the Contoocook River, which is about a 5 minute walk from the camper. Also, there's a kayak available for use! Overall, a lovely experience :)
