The vibe at Zion On The Green -DIY Tent Deck
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
This place is absolutely AMAZING and by far the best place we have stayed at . The views are gorgeous , they have cute animals on the property, delightful decor , and best of all, 2 out of this world hosts . We already anticipated having a good weekend because the pictures of this place were beautiful but this weekend completely exceeded our expectations. Right off the bat we were greeted by Scott and Ken who gave us a tour of the property, and we were blown away, not only with the heavenly property but by their awesome hospitality as well. This place is absolutely beautiful at any time of the day . We loved waking up to coffee (generously provided by Scott and ken ) and looking out to see cows grazing on the pasture . In the mid afternoon we could go take a dip in the pool and come back to lay in a hammock under a tree until we’’d get up and go socialize in the barn with other campers . You could enjoy a late night by the camp fire or jacuzzi looking up at the stars . Whatever time it is there is something to do and enjoy . I could honestly go on and on about Zion on the green . Staying here is by far one of the BEST choices I have ever made ! Ken and Scott we are forever grateful to have met you . Your attention to detail is just phenomenal . Good drinks and good company, what else can anybody ask for . We were so sad to leave this little piece of heaven behind and head back home but we hope to see you soon . For anyone considering staying here if you have read this review and have still not hit the “request to book” button : DO IT NOW! You will have the time of your life , guaranteed .
Scott & Ken were amazing hosts!! Above and beyond with everything! Best first experience with Hip Camp! They set the bar really really high for everywhere else! Super cute location, private, the decor and property was gorgeous, and had coffee delivered to our tent each morning! The shower/bathroom “shed” really gives you the best of both worlds for your camping experience! So many perks and relaxing things to do at camp after a long day at Zion. I want to go into every detail about this place but can’t give away all the amazing charming things that you need to see for yourself at Zion on the Green! Cant wait to go back!
What a Great place to camp! We stayed 4 nights on the deck next to a pond and beautiful scenery. Plenty of room for a large tent and privacy at night. The topper was coffee already made in the morning. We hung out by the pool one day which was perfect after a long day at Zion. Just a couple towns over. We had a great time.
This space was the best part of our trip to Zion. Zion National Park was crowded and full of visitors, so it was hard to feel an intimate connection with the beautiful land, but we found solace and stillness at Zion On The Green.
Scott and Ken were the best hosts! They were helpful with getting us suggestions and fresh juice and coffee in the morning.
Truly, this spot and all of the amenities blew our mind. This may have been a last minute campsite for us initially, but now it feels like it’s own destination. Stay here; you won’t regret it.
It seems impossible to list all the things we loved about our stay! We loved it so much we’re already planning our next trip. This time we had lots of activities planned and regretted we didn’t have time to spend enjoying the beautiful grounds and time with the gracious hosts. We had no idea what we’d be missing! Next time we will specifically plan time to relax in the hammocks, enjoy a glass of wine under the grape vines, cool off in the pool, soothe sore muscles in the hot tub, and explore all the fun to be had in the well-appointed barn. Scott and Ken are amazing and took interest in our plans for our visit, making suggestions for places to photograph, restaurants to try along our routes, and even checking with us each day to see how things were going. Time at Zion on the Green felt like time in paradise with old friends and we can’t wait to return.
Scott and Ken have worked hard to create a VIP experience for all of their guests. To wake up each morning to hot coffee on our deck was unexpected, to say the least. And when Ken found out that coffee is life for this girl, he came back with another thermos. The next day he planned for two, and even brought breakfast and orange juice to our deck. I couldn’t believe it! And not only is the treatment second to none, every amenity is thoughtfully and beautifully done. It was like a 5-star hotel in a lush, beautiful paradise. And let’s not forget all the animal friends around the property! We loved getting to pet and feed the cows and horse in the adjacent pasture, and Hank Jr. (the duck) frequently came to say hello. And, if you’re lucky, you might get to meet “the girls,” Scott and Ken’s dogs. If you’re not a dog lover, don’t worry – they keep them in house and I’m sure they would keep them far away if you were nervous about it. We, on the other hand, were excited to get to see them as they were coming back from their morning walk so we could say hello. They are beautiful, sweet girls and that was the perfect way to end our stay.
We can’t wait for our next opportunity to visit this paradise and spend more time with Scott and Ken! Trust us when we say that your decision to stay here will be the one that makes your visit to Zion a complete success! Thank you, gentlemen, for a lovely experience!
Ok. My wife and I just got back from our trip to Zion and couldn’t wait to sit and review this site. Scott & Ken are two of the most hospitable, kind, generous, respectful, personable, and just downright amazing hosts you could ever find. They do everything they can to make your stay as comfortable as you would like it to be and as lively and sociable as you crave. Their goal is to accommodate you. Therefore, I am writing this review in light of some very important key features that I thought went above and beyond what we even expected; this being said, the photos already gave us a very good idea of what to expect.
The space is 20 minutes from the entrance to the park, which is as close as you can get without staying at the $250+ hotels that are decent stays.
The deck was exactly what we needed it to be and more. The fact that we were able to pitch our tent on a raised surface put us in a position that was away from most of the elements. Meaning, we didn’t have water rushing into our tent when it rained, and we had a less wet surface when we stepped out to put our shoes on. The surface was comfortable and large enough for any single tent, some lounge chairs, a stove, and whatever else you wanna put up. It’s up to you, you got the space!
First of all, Scott and Ken meet you to run you through the whole site.
You have the mess hall/converted barn where you can relax, play music, play games, or just drink your coffee on loft overlooking the grounds.
The showers are NICE! I mean, they got GOOD HOT WATER! The toilet is clean! The design of the bathrooms were very intentional and functional.
There’s also the fire pit, the pool, and the jacuzzi available. WHAT?! What campsite allows that kind of amenities. The grill and fire pit are good for cooking as well. Ken & Scott had things available for us on site.
As I said, they will accommodate how sociable you want to be. But Ken & Scott are super fun guys to hang with. Their friends and neighbors are super nice as well. And the couple that stayed in one of the glamping tents were super chill—we ended up hanging with them the second night as well.
Both Ken and Scott kept walking up to us to ask if we needed anything for them to get. And Ken even made it a point to tell us how grateful he was that we were there. I mean, let’s be real, we should be grateful.
Ultimately, if you are looking for a camp site that’s incredibly peaceful with other people who are likely there to just simply have a good time, you will not want to pass on this. We couldn’t ask for a better tent-camping experience. We are already planning to come back with friends.
I would also like to personally add that you please go in with respect. Take care of these guys because they will absolutely take care of you.
