Friendly, fun, clean, awesome!
We had such a sweet time at the yurt at the ranch! Directions to and within ranch were clear and easy to follow. Dana was friendly and available without being obtrusive, and she took my daughter around to meet some of the animals when she hinted that she wanted to see them. The yurt was clean and tidy, the bathroom was close by, and the showers were huge and clean. What a fun experience. Would highly recommend to anyone! My kiddo says it was, “TOTALLY AWESOME!!!”
Stargazers dream ⭐️💫🌟
My boyfriend and I spent 2 nights in the Yurt on the ranch. We were warmly welcomed upon our arrival by our host Dana. We were given a tour of the property and were pleasantly surprised to have full shower accommodations.
It was enjoyable being able to walk around and visit with all the animals. The atmosphere was very relaxing. At night we had a fire and were able to see the most amazing stars in the evening sky. Lots of hiking to do.
Will definitely be coming back again.
Thank you for everything!
Quiet & stars &kindness everywhere
Definitely stay at Sandy Valley Ranch if you want to be around farm animals and the friendliest of people in a quiet serene valley. The sunset driving in was stellar and Dana popped out of her camper as soon as we arrived to show us the digs. She truly radiates kindness and hospitality. Would love to go back just to see how she is doing.
The yurt was so charming and really cozy. I used to be a tad judgmental of 'glamping' coming from a backpacking background, but I'm now sold. The rooster gave us a bit of a wake up call, but we were hoping to be up early anyway. We loved saying hi to all the animals in the morning :) Really an amazing time and wish we could have stayed longer.
A wonderful little spot!
This place is well worth it. We got a tour of the grounds from Dana and thoroughly enjoyed being in the company of the animals at the ranch. Would definitely come back if in the area again!
The yurt experience was lovely! Dana greeted me with a much needed ice cold lemonade and showed me the amenities. The yurt itself was comfy and had a lot of cute touches. I loved having the animals of the farm around and the dogs roaming the property was great (cute but also keep away coyotes).
Dana is a great host and very hospitable!
Stars, campfire and animals!
SVR was amazing and so was Dana! She was very communicative, met us when we arrived and gave us a tour, we got to meet some of the farm animals and felt immediately at home. It’s a beautiful, open land and the stars were incredible! We wished we could’ve stayed for the rodeo but the timing was a bit long after our check out. Loved the screened in patio, the restroom was nice and clean, and the provided for firewood was a nice touch. The actual tent is pretty snug for two but we had plenty of space outside the tent with a table and chairs. Would definitely recommend but also go back soon!
Yurt not going to want to leave
I was blown away with the cleanliness and charm of the yurt tent. It was stocked with a fan, flashlight, power strip, and even a tiny fridge. The mattress was beyond comfortable! Dana is the warmest hostess and gave me the 25 cent tour of the working ranch which has so much to offer! I got to pet and feed their adorable goats, miny horse, cows and dogs. Their shower facilities are delux and bathroom/sink close by. Campsite had bundles of wood, bbq utensils, fire pit, a small table, 2 chairs and a beach umbrella.
Unparalleled vista for sunset! Keep in mind this is high desert (snakes) and a ranch i.e. farm smells and free roaming animals ( this was nostalgic and enhanced my stay bc i grew up on a farm)
What an astounding place! Dana is a total treat, super friendly with a lovely demeanor and more than happy to show you all around the working dude ranch (and maybe feed a goat or two). The yurt itself was beautiful, inviting and comfortable. Showers and facilities were clean and comfortable. I couldn't have asked for anything more and could not recommend it enough!
