Guadalupe's Campground has been here in the valley at the gate way of Death Valley for 5 years. We are a family of farmers who offer our spot for just getting of the road and parking. Learn more about this land: Guadalupe's is a family of farmers who have a real-estate back ground and love camping in this area as well. Record summer heat make Death Valley a land of extremes. Yet, each extreme has a striking contrast. Towering peaks are frosted with winter snow. Rare rainstorms bring vast fields of wildflowers. Lush oases harbor tiny fish and refuge for wildlife and humans. Despite its morbid name, a great diversity of life survives in Death Valley. Guadalupe's Campground presents almost 2 Acres of cleanly graded simple and camp spaces with dividers for separate group's and equestrian fencing. Camp is to include picnic table and area approx. 1/3 acre extended for each campsit. Pull off the road get your water hook up and generator if available and when our store is open. Behind the store there is an area were wind shelter is avalable for tents. Our site is at the gate way to Death Valley, close to walking trails, OHV, ATV and mountain bike off road experiance's. Guadalupe’s market has been open and is their for your convince. We carry items such as Toilet Paper, Tooth Paste, Restrooms, Smokes and Ice Cold Drinks please see store photos in property images. Wi-Fi provided inside establishment to paying campers when the store is open. On highway parking for selling vendors and farmers who wish to sell or display their items for passing travelers or our 1500 community members. Located near Ash Meadows National Wild Life Preserve and the most magnificent views of the Siarra Nevada Mountain Range can be shared from your simple, flat, large private campsite, at this simple entrance to Death Valley. With no other campers looking in your window space to be free! Life in Death Valley Coyotes, ravens, roadrunners, ground squirrels and lizards are the most commonly seen wildlife of the region, but there are many species who thrive here, hidden or unnoticed by visitors. Plants and Flowers Common plant species In the diverse landscapes of Death Valley, there are vegetation zones with the type of common plant species differing based on the elevation of the landscape. At low elevations, the saltpan is unable to support vegetation. Yet, for the rest of the valley floor and lower slopes, although they have little cover from the intense sunlight, when water is present normally so is vegetation. At lower elevations., creosote bush, desert holly, and mesquite can be found. Shadscale, blackbrush, Joshua tree, pinyon-juniper can be found at higher elevations, and at high elevations, sub-alpine limber pine and bristlecone pine woodlands can be found. Though wildflowers are never completely absent, there are rare and remarkable seasons when the rain conditions are right and the hills and valleys of Death Valley are transformed into a sea of gold, purple, pink or green and white flowers.

Thanks, rooster.

As mentioned before this is a gravel lot behind a what seems to be abandoned gas station. The owner was unavailable when called. There is nothing to indicated where the campground is nor is there really anything that shows where the lots are. The casino across the street really does a number on killing the night sky. There was trash scattered about the camping area. The neighbors have 2 talkative dogs which weren't an issue after sun down. However the rooster that decided everyone needed to wake up at quarter after 3 was less than enjoyable. I packed up and left at 430am after it was clear the thing had no intent on stopping.

Juste a gravel place behind a closed market. We see nobody during our stay. Non toilets no water. Nevers again. We paid for NO SERVICE

This site is little more than cattle panels stretched across the desert behind a convenience store. There was no toilet, which is a bit odd, considering the inconvenience that is likely to result for both guest and host. The host was not on site but was responsive to problems (e.g. neighbor's dog barking for over and hour.) This might be OK for an RV but not the greatest tent camping spot.

Star-gazer’s dream!

We had a lovely time at this site, and particularly enjoyed the star-gazing! It was a little hard for me to find, but Paul graciously called me to ensure I got there safely! They also have a store on site, which unfortunately was closed (since we arrived late), but very convenient.

Quiet, clean and lots of space. Walking distance to the only restaurant and bar in town. Can't get closer to Death Valley NP!
