Ideal location for camping
This is a great site to spend the night while visiting Great Basin National Park!! Located right off the road on mountain heading to park, with gorgeous views of the mountains and valley, beautiful sunrises and sunsets! The stars and night sky were spectacular! The tipi kept us very warm at night and the campsite is beautifully set up with many thoughtful touches from the host. Laurie is an incredible host and was there to help us if we needed anything. I would highly recommend camping at Laurie's tipi at Great Basin National Park!!
The tipi is awesome!
The Tipi at Great Basin was awesome. You can see the Milky Way and stargaze by the campfire at the foot of Mt. Wheeler. The setup and proximity to the park can’t be beat. Laurie is an amazing host too!
Great spot close to gbnp!
Awesome spot less than a mile from
Great Basin NP! The site was perfect and had everything- table, chairs, burn barrel for a fire and compost toilet. The teepee was clean and cozy. We got in at 8:30 PM and Laurie Greeted is with a flashing light as it was hard to tell where to turn. Laurie responded quickly and was a great host. The beat part though were the stars! Such a perfect spot!
5 star off grid camping
A fantastic way to really enjoy nature and be off grid! The host is very knowledgeable about off grid living and respecting the land. It was peaceful and beautiful, the park is really really close you can enjoy hiking, swimming and a cane tour!
Terrific space, with tipi, chairs, table/bench, and firepit. Not to mention firewood and even coffee! Laurie was even kind enough to wait by the road to ensure thst we could find the place. Lovely place to stay.
Great proximity to the park!
Overall the campsite was good! It was somewhat hard to find since the signs aren’t that large, but we managed. It’s close to the main road to the park, so some noise there, but to be expected on a busy holiday weekend. It’s a cool site, with a good deal of amenities.
