Pfanny's Farm was a comfortable, quiet site for me to unwind on my trip westward. The farm has an awesome walking trail around the perimeter that is very well-maintained and peaceful to walk. It also gives you a good view of the sunset on the plains. They operate a few greenhouses and other CSA activities, but my site was a good distance back from there and I never really heard a peep. They have quite a few chickens to keep you entertained as well. Most importantly, the hosts are kind, knowledgeable, and overall fun to be around. This was my first stay in Nebraska and will stand out as the top memory of the state along with the dozens of great pictures I took around the farm. Thanks guys!!

Grand Entrance :-)I enjoyed the birds so much :-)A VERY well-maintained walking trail. Not just some footpath.Overview of the farm

Pfanny's farm is a well kept farm in rural Nebraska. We stayed overnight as part of a road trip, so we arrived kind of late. Our hostess was very kind and made us feel at home right away. That night there was an incredible thunder storm - I'd recommend a rain-fly!

My wife and I recently took a cross country trek to visit family in the western US. I found Pfanny's Farm by chance while web-surfing and looking for a place to camp in Nebraska. It happened to be our wedding anniversary the night we traveled through Nebraska. We could not stayed at a better location. We absolutely loved the visit and the people we met. Julie and her family were warm and welcoming. The Nebraska countryside was beautiful and the farm Julie's gardening and growing operations were very interesting to learn out. In particular, the geothermal climate controlled building in which she grows citrus and succulent was so cool. We loved seeing and learning about the innovations and adaptions that she and her husband implement on the farm. We bought some wonderful produce, horseradish relish, really enjoyable locally roasted coffee, and the most fantastic caramel popcorn (made by Julie's daughter - buy extra for gifts!)
