This place was perfect, right next to the river, secluded, quiet and private! Taylor was very accomidating and nice! It was a nice besutiful place to get out of thr city for a while!
Wonderful, scenic, private and safe
The Hyde Ranch Camp was wonderful. The setting was lovely and private. The property is situated on the banks of the Loup River off a quiet country road. Super peaceful and set in nature. A level camping site, with trees and equipped with fire pit,, picnic table and firewood avaiable. We saw loads of birds and enjoyed the stars by our camp fire without ambient liight.. Definitely the nicest camp we have experienced. Responsive and thoughtful host. Definitely worth the drive. Added perk was the great cell and 4g coverage from our campsite. A highlight of our trip!
Communication could be better
Unfortunately I never made it to this site so I do not have much Information regarding the accuracy of the description/directions, privacy, beauty, etc. The communication with the host, however, was not great. My boyfriend and I were on a road trip, and maybe it could have been because of poor service through Nebraska (giving the benefit of the doubt), but I tried many times to get in touch with the host many times prior to our arrival with question and updates and I never heard from him. We didn’t end up making it there because we had driven all day from SLC, Utah and didn’t realize how far off the 80 his ranch was. Communication could be better.
Total bliss next to the loop river
Stunning site alongside North Loup River. Waist deep, sandy bottom, fast moving, warm. Delightful Baptism.
Set away from main road, deer gamboled through prairie grass, neighbor’s horse seemed happy to see us. The grassy site had a fire pit and picnic table. Level ground for our campervan. Hosts were super friendly and helpful. Fireflies gave us a show at night. Highly recommend!! Hope to see you again, Taylor!
Beautiful spot along the river. Was great to get the kids out on a sandbar and have a campfire with the river in the background. I would note that we never saw Taylor at check-in or throughout our stay. Additionally, when we tried calling the number provided, it was a wrong number. There is no toilet facility contrary to what the listing says. The inclusion of a toilet was a major factor in our decision to book this site given our children. All told, we made it work, but we would not return.
Good views, but...
Great spot along the river. The kids had a great time on the sandbars. We never actually got to talk to Taylor. He was not there at check-in, and he did not respond to texts or phone calls. In fact, it appears that the number in the listing is incorrect. Additionally, contrary to the listing, there is no toilet facility onsite.
