The vibe at Andzen Acres: RV & Tent Camping
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Andzen acres is the most relaxing place I've been in a while. With waterfront campsites, no neighbor campsites, convenient spots, and some that take a bit of umph to get to, you can find exactly what you're looking for here. 61 acres of the most beautiful trees, flowers, and Nebraska skies. Want to sleep in a hammock with your closest friends: Stay at Hammock Point. Want the cutest little spot along the lake: Stay at Willow Point. Want a unique, corky spot to hang with friends around a campfire: stay at The Fort. Hunting: Stay at the Army Base. This place will continually be upgraded and enhanced, which is why I'm excited to go back there soon!
Such a memorable spot for so many reasons!
Before I even arrived, Tyson let me know that weather wasn't looking ideal, and offered me a camper for the night so I didn't have to rough it in a tent. He went above and beyond to prep the camper and make sure everything was comfortable.
Upon arrival, the other Host, Aaron, took me for a tour around the property in his big SUV, since it was quite muddy. There are campsites along the lake, and structures hidden farther back. It seems endless. Lots of room to explore, and the lake itself is a great communal spot for fires, hanging out, kayaking, etc.
Later on, Aaron came back and started a fire since the wood was wet, and even brought warm homemade rum punch (yum). It was a comfortable stay, to say the least.
Tyson and Aaron care so much about this land and showing it to others, and are two of the most generous people I've ever met. Can't recommend this spot enough. :)
Aaron and Tyson are the BEST hosts! They gave a fun tour of the campgrounds, helped us pick the best camping spot, and even made all the campers lunch on the day of the eclipse. I HIGHLY recommend visiting Andzen Acres for your camping adventures. Five stars!!!
Andzen was a godsend for my wife and I for the 2017 eclipse. We had very limited downtime from work in Denver, and needed a guaranteed place we could set up a tent and watch the eclipse. What we found were three of the most gracious hosts we've ever experienced. Andzen is in a great location, is a beautiful property, and has great views of the stars. Tyson, and co. provided water, a fire pit, great conversation, and were ready with a tour, extra solar glasses, and a smile. If ever I'm back in this area, I will gladly check into Andzen before any hotel in Lincoln or Omaha!
Andzen Acres was great! My husband and two kids stayed here on a road trip cross country for one night. The view of the lake from our campsite was great. Tyler and Aaron were great hosts, showing us around, providing us with a water jug and air mattress pump that we forgot, and even giving us some Andzen Acres beer cozies. Memorable experience!
My experience at Andzen went above and beyond my expectations and I’m excited to visit again. I recommend Andzen and it’s hosts highly.
With a weekend getaway originally arranged in Iowa, the morning of, plans fell through and I was left with four days off and no adventures to fill them with. I was bummed to say the least.
Searching for a plan B, Andzen immediately caught my attention with images/descriptions of water, kayaks and camping. Had I known of Andzen and the amazing hosts, Tyson and Aaron, originally, they’d have been my plan A, hands down.
Traveling up from Kansas, I loaded up my bikes, grabbed a friend from Grand Island and we headed to Andzen unsure what to expect, but ready for anything.
During our stay, we kayaked on the lake, napped in the hammocks, biked the paths to each of the campsites, enjoyed watching a Huskers game with the hosts and friends at the Army Base, sat by the fire under the stars at night and woke in a tent by the water, hearing nothing but sounds of nature.
It really turned out amazingly perfect despite having been a last minute plan. I’m grateful for the hosts being knowledgeable, accommodating, kind and inviting.
Outside of Andzen, Tyson also helped facilitate an opportunity for my friend and I to experience river kayaking (which has been on my bucket list to try). It wasn’t something offered through Andzen, but we were fortunate that Tyson had a lot of experience in kayaking himself and was more than willing to get us on our way with our own adventure!
Like I said.. above and beyond my expectations and I’m incredibly appreciative of the chance to have a great weekend. Thank you!
