This is a unique and secluded 30 acre property located in Gallatin Gateway proper, just off highway 191. This was a homestead from the 1890's with some of the original structures still standing. In the past year, the property was placed in a Land Trust in order to maintain an ecosystem that supports abundant wildlife and vegetation. You should expect to see wildlife, hear cattle in the distance, see horses and llamas on neighboring properties and other rural sites and sounds. Including the occasional neighbor target shooting. The property is located on the Gallatin River and has 1000 feet of river front, including 12 acres of riparian zone. This property offers a number of trails to hike and explore, including off trail exploration through the riparian area. You can also throw in your fishing line on the popular Gallatin River. Should you want a night out, we are located only 150 steps away from Stacy's Bar and Grill. There is a house located on the property that is currently being remodeled, but no occupants at this time. During the day we may be working on projects, but the evenings will be all yours. Away from the property, low traffic paved roads for cyclists to enjoy views of the Bridger mountains and Spanish Peaks. You will frequently see the Flying D Bison and the occasional elk in the farm fields. There are also a number of gravel roads offering spectacular views.

I absolutely adored being Cynthia's first customer. The property, although pretty much off a main road, was secluded and absolutely stunning. All the historic barns and the little house being renovated are magnificent accents to the experience. There was a perfect trail plowed through the hay field that my dog and I were able to walk at sunset. We saw a ton of deer, a little red fox and even a juvenile bald eagle! If I had more time allotted on my vacation, in a heart beat, I'd have stayed a few more days.
Relaxing, picturesque, & enjoyable
Great spot! Not too far from civilization but feels plenty remote. Great amount of land to have dogs run around and to spread out. No potable water yet but we were left with two bottles of water and welcome flowers and suggestions for what to do in the area. Very enjoyable!!
The property was private, queit and absolutely gorgeous. The host went out of her way to help us find local hiking and kayaking in the area and went as far as to print out directioms for us! A big yes for more rustic dispersed camping experience.
Great bozeman area spot
Remote feel with non-remote amenities! Peaceful homestead, off the highway. Saturday night had some highway noise and music from a party or bar in the area, but still completely worth booking if you want something local to Bozeman.
This was a very enjoyable experience. The host was very accommodating and friendly. The property was very clean and very well set up. It felt very private but was close to all the essential services. There were a variety of things to see and do on the property. As stated there was some work going on, but it started later in the morning and did not interrupt the camping experience at all. What a beautiful place! I hope to go back soon.
Cynthia was able to accommodate our last-minute request, and the campsite was beautiful. It’s right next to the Gallatin River for any fishing folks out there. The old homestead structures were cool, and the host kept the grass mowed for all campers. It also has a wonderful little fireplace and patio area. Loved this spot, and we would camp here again if we are ever in the area!
Clean, quaint little river spot
Nice grassy area along the river. We brought our tent and listened to the river all night long. The hosts left a couple of water bottles. There is some antique buildings to browse through. It is very close to a small town, but feels secluded. Would highly recommend!
Loved this site!
We travel around to a lot of hipcamps and locations and this was by far one of my favorite. The host was extremely friendly and helpful. There was plenty for my dog to explore and do. The river had very easy access and the location was beautiful. We really enjoyed our time here!
