Hello, and thanks for stopping in! We are Kati and Darin Robison, your Montana Treehouse Retreat owners. We have dreamt about building a treehouse for quite some time. It wasn't until we purchased our 7 acre property outside of Whitefish, that our dreams started to become a reality. We are both 4th generation Montanans with a true love of Montana and what it has to offer. We enjoy spending our time outdoors in the surrounding areas boating, snowboarding, cross country skiing, gardening and trying to keep up with our 2 young sons. We were cast to build our first treehouse of the Montana Treehouse Retreat with the talented build team, The Treehouse Guys of the DIY Network. They were on our property for approximately 6 weeks and framed the treehouse of our dreams in April/May of 2016.  Check out our episode "Arboreal Abode in Big Sky" with the Treehouse Guys on Amazon.  After the treehouse show filming was over, we were left to do all of the finishing interior touches of the treehouse and the infrastructure to make this a luxury treehouse including fully plumbed bathrooms, heat and even air conditioning! Darin finished the treehouse along with a trusty crew of friends and family including "the old man crew" which consisted of both of our dads well into their 60's but full of enthusiasm and Darin's brother David helping with the exterior welding of the iron railings and more. We used a combination of locally sourced materials and reclaimed materials to give it an authentic Montana rustic feel. This whole project has been a true adventure in every sense of the word and has consumed our every minute from conception of the project to completion of the build. We have put a lot of heart and soul into making sure this is the final artistic vision we set out to build. We hope that is clear when you see the treehouse for the first time or step into it. We wanted that wow factor. We strive to provide our guests a unique and unforgettable luxury stay high up in the trees as a "home base" while you explore the Flathead Valley, Whitefish Mountain Resort, Glacier Park and surrounding areas. Montana has so much to offer. We hope the Montana Treehouse Retreat is the perfect place for you to reconnect with the ones you love, nature, and find some piece of mind. We look forward to meeting you soon!

Montana Treehouse Retreat
Tucked in the woods, up in the trees with my pups, a glass of red wine, a fresh dusting of snow, lots of natural light spilling through the windows and my favorite tunes filling the treehouse - it doesn't get much better than that. Kati & Darin are lovely hosts, and the amount of work and care they put into this treehouse is incredible. To say it's magical is an understatement; it's like your childhood dreams materialized before your eyes, but it's even better than you could have ever imagined. I'm so grateful that they've chosen to share this special place with the world. You're far back enough in the forest to feel secluded, yet you're also close to great food and activities for every season. However, I would have no problem at all getting snowed in here for a few days and never leaving- it's got everything you need, including a beautiful kitchen, spa-like bathroom, big screen TV for Netflix, wifi, cozy nooks to curl up & read a book, bluetooth BOSE speaker to play your favorite tunes... I wouldn't call it camping, but Kati and Darin are going to be putting in a fire pit outside, so you can get your camp vibes in. I've already told a number of my close friends and family that they must stay here (and take me with them of course), whether they live in Montana or across the states - it's worth the trip! I can't say enough good things about this spot.
