Mountain View Cabin 2

This little 8'x10' cabin has incredible views of the Tobacco Root Mountains, and is smack in the middle of a working cattle ranch.  A great hunter's cabin for autumn excursions!  A comfy Full size futon and picnic table, electricity, wifi, and a cute bathhouse with composting toilet.  Bring your own bedding, or rent ours.  A hot shower is available in the ranch house, included in your fee.

Please arrive before 8:00pm, as we farmers sleep and rise early, and the cabin is 100yds from our house.

We raise heritage Red Devon cattle and commercial blacks and reds, selling all our grassfed beef in Bozeman, and our breeding animals to other ranches from northern Alberta to southern Nevada.  Harrison and Ennis Reservoirs are nearby for fishing and boating adventures, the Tobacco Root Mtns. are filled with hiking trails, and Yellowstone National Park is only 90 miles away through gorgeous country.  Lewis and Clark Caverns, Headwaters State Park, Canyon Ferry Reservoir, and Bozeman are all within easy driving distance.  Norris Hot Springs(13 miles away) is open Friday-Sunday.   Bald Eagles nest nearby, coyotes and elk often sing overnight, trout abound in Willow Creek (which runs through the property) and stars by the thousands are overhead at night. The Town Haul Diner in Harrison serves breakfast and lunch. 

Hikes on foot, and supervised dogs, are permitted in the fields on the ranch which do not contain livestock (all visiting dogs must be leashed at all times on the ranch when they are in any field containing cattle).   Bicycles are welcome on the gravel roads of the ranch, and there are good public trails into the mountains behind the village of Pony, 3 miles from the ranch.
