Dreamy yellowstone river camping
Beautiful open spot right on the Yellowstone river. We chose the deck site, and backed our 35 Ft. 5th wheel right up next to it. The deck is roomy and really nice to walk out on to. Fire-pit is between the deck and the river- so fun-we did have some shade trees on the other side of the camper which was nice. There are 2 other sites on this strip of property- one on either side of the deck that would be perfect for friends and family camping together. One of those sites provides 30/50 AMP and water, while the other site shares the electric box with the deck site (but each site has its own 20 AMP plug in and own water spigot) this site is smaller - perhaps good for a small camper or tent. That one might be a bit close to the deck site for guests that don't know each other. Our host Greg, is working on getting 50 Amp to the other 2 sites- which will be awesome! It was hot, and we had to run our generator, for the AC. We didn't get to meet Greg (out of town at the time) but he was very kind, and wanted to make sure we were okay when we were getting set up. The Yellowstone river Carters Bridge fishing access/boat launch is almost directly across from the site- so perfect for people watching, with all the floaters, and fishermen going down the river. Quite entertaining! The site is very close to Livingston- super convenient, yet quiet enough- there is a bit of traffic noise going over the bridge during the day- but it is pretty much drowned out by the river rapids fronting the site during the time of our stay ( early August). We are AirBnB SuperHosts, hence this long and detailed review. As this is a newly listed HipCamp Property, we understand it is so nice to get even more detail about the sites. :) The bottom line is that we enjoyed our stay very much, and we would come back in a heartbeat!
We pulled our rv into the property and couldn’t believe the beauty. The site is right on the Yellowstone river nestled between two mountains. There is a very large stone fire pit. This is a perfect place to stay.
Perfect spot if you love to fish or raft the river. We had a great time chillin on the deck and it was easy to get to the North Yellowstone entrance. Also just minutes away from the charming historic downtown Livingston.
