My husband and I were traveling in our sprinter van and needed a last minute spot to stay, after a change in our plans. the hosts were very accomidating. our spot was at the top of a freshly harvested wheat field (I believe). a unique 360 degree sweeping view. the contrasting blue sky with the golden field was just stunning. we sat back with our pups and watched the cows that dotted the landscape roam around, hearing the occasional chorus of moos. once the sun had settled, after putting on an incredible show, the stars came out. holy smokes. as my husband put...there were so many stars he couldn't make out some if the constilations. awesome unique camp experience.

Instructions to find the site were easy to follow even getting in well after dark. The site was clear and dry and the views across the freshly cut barley fields were beautiful.

The property is beautiful! A very cool and new experience being at the top of a hill in open farmland.
The weather was pretty brutal for us, extremely windy and rainy, but luckily we were in our Van - tent would have been rough.

This place was unlike any other place we have ever stayed before! The scenery was unreal! I did not know what to expect but it greatly exceeded my expectations. It was a perfect spot to set up camp for a quick stop over in Bozeman before coninuting on with our road trip. Would highly recommend this place to anyone planning on stopping in Bozeman!

Great views just not what expected. If you’re looking to bike... don’t stay here. The sites are in the middle of a wheat field. We were confused about the farming aspect of the site- only saw wheat and a chicken. Only the site with the platform is worth booking, the other two are cool to see, not ideal for camping (a sloped pit in a field). Make sure to be around for sunset- sweet views of the surrounding mountains and a lovely sunflower field across the way.

This campsite was unreal — the sunset over the mountains and fields was overwhelming, and it was so quiet! We had a perfect spot to pitch our tent after a long day of driving from Alberta. Nick was a great and friendly host and it was an amazing spot to camp. Would definitely come back if I’m ever passing through the Bozeman area.

Amazing views. Super quiet. Not a single electric light visible except those of far off cities glowing in the distance. Spectacular storm came through as we arrived but cleared off just as fast. Nick suggested there would be a rainbow, and even though I could see the start of one, it didn’t materialize.

This place was awesome! Very private, great host, and beautiful scenery 360 degrees around. Water spicket available and more than enough room at our site. My only regret was that we couldn’t stay another night.

This is a beautiful and spacious site with wide open skies and fields. We had a great time, and it felt very private. There was a table and little outhouse and a platform for the tent. We felt a little exposed as the thunderstorms rolled by so that is the only safety concern. We were lucky enough to have most of the lightning stay at a distance, if it was overhead I feel like it would have been risky to stay as we were the highest point around, with the big metal shed nearby. If not severely storming I would highly recommend staying here!

Nick is a great host. There's lots of hiking available throughout the property. We enjoyed the quiet and privacy of the site. Nice views from the site at the top of the hill. This was our first experience with hipcamp and we are looking forward to using it in the future!

If you are not afraid to drive up the dirt drive (just about the LIMIT I would take my 27 foot RV)-- you are rewarded with the MOST peaceful and awesome views of the SURROUNDING hills and mountains!

Golden Skyfall is quiet and relaxing. We stayed at the Mountain View site (all the way up the hill), and couldn't have been more pleased. There were 360-degree mountain views, golden hay fields, and peace and quiet. Nick and his wife are very welcoming and helpful. A few dogs live on the property with Nick and his family, and are super friendly. We stayed here while passing through Bozeman (a quick 20 min away) on a road trip and left feeling relaxed and refreshed. While we arrived to stormy skies, the morning brought sun and we were able to walk around the property and take in the good weather and views. Thanks, Nick!

Loved the place! We didn't arrive until after 10pm and it was easy to find at night. The whole setup at the campsite was perfect. The views in the morning were awesome. We wish we could have seen sunset (we arrived at dark) and mountains. ( there was a fire that caused some smoke to obstruct the view). Would highly recommended to people in the area. We met nick and he was so nice and gave us some good traveling/ breakfast suggestions :)

Although wildfire smoke obscured our views of the surrounding mountain ranges, we still had pretty views of the countryside. Directions were easy to follow and it was a seamless transaction. Outhouse, water and flat ground for tents were provided. There is also a "patio" area with a couple tables, chairs and a grill. We didn't use them, but they were a nice addition. Heard coyotes yipping a few times around sunset. A freakishly fierce windstorm came up around 11:00pm and nearly took down our tent with 50+mph winds but we survived. All in all a cool experience for the evening.

This site was beautiful, on top of a ridge in the middle, literally, of huge golden hay fields. The views were amazing in every direction, and would have been even better if the smoke from the wildfires had not settled into the areal. Even so it was nice, very private and relaxing. I will definitely be going back in the near future. Not expecting much I arrived to find a gas grill, a clean outhouse (big plus), and even a couple tables and chairs on raised platforms. Can't wait to come back and see all the surrounding mountains in clear visibility!

We would give this campsite a 5/5 stars. To be fair, though, you may be a bit skeptical when you first show up. Let that go immediately. This place is awesome. The 360 degree views of the mountains ranges paired with the feeling of solitude make for a memorable experience. The stars were some of the best we've seen so close to a city. We had a hard time leaving. Get to know Nick and his friends. Hearing about their dream for the property and the work they are currently doing to make the dream a reality is inspirational and made for great memories. Stay at this place, and experience something special.

The spot where we camped was amazing. We were surrounded by wheat fields and incredible mountain views. We had our three kids with us and it felt like it was just our family. There were other campers but we couldn't see them from where we were.
Nick was great and I would recommend this spot to anyone looking to camp just outside of Bozeman.

Golden skyfall is a beautiful and unique place to spend the night. 360 degree panorama views of several different mountain ranges make for a spectacular show when the sun goes down. The owner Nick is super laid back, easy going and a great host. A great place to crash if you're passing through on I90 or are in the area.
