Bad Rock Base Camp - Primitive Camp
Peaceful!
Very quiet and peaceful. A little pricey for dry camping, but we were allowed to put water in our RV. Enjoyed watching the deer! I expected to be in a casino parking lot! What a nice surprise to be tucked away in a little wooded area.

Camping? Stay away. RV? You're okay
If you're tenting, stay away. The camp site wasn't mowed for months it seemed, so the grass was tall and full of sharp weeds. You needed shoes to walk around, and you could feel the thorns through the tent fabric. Would not go back unless they seriously cleaned up. If you're in an RV, it's probably good.

Great Stay
The camp was clean, quiet and perfect for our trip to Glacier. We checked in late and left very early and Danette was incredibly accommodating. She was quick to answer our questions.

Bad Rock Base Camp - Primitive Camp
Host was super friendly, however, the site was full of sharp weeds and brush that would have easily poked a hole through the bottom of our tent. Could not stay there without a THICK tarp and even then would have needed a thicker than normal sleeping pad.

Bad Rock Base Camp - Primitive Camp
Well-Maintained Site, Easy to Find
Site was great. Not super remote. Land was very flat. We were able to camp out of two truck tents + one traditional tent. There was significant road noise, which we expected based on other reviews, so that was no problem. Very close to Flathead Lake, and neighboring the bar was a fun way to spend the night with friends. We booked this site to meet up with friends and easily set up after dark. Because it was so easy to find and well kept, it lived up to that plan with ease.
