Get away from it all deep in the National Forest. 14 miles behind a locked gate on an old forest service road, you will find true solitude that is so hard to come by these days.

In the summer, this is the perfect escape for the family. Ride ATV’s on the road, pick huckleberries, cook over the campfire, enjoy great views of the Mission Mountains and Deep Creek mountains, star gaze, or just enjoy the peace and quiet.

In the fall, this is the perfect camp set up for a fun hunt in an area that holds elk, mule deer, whitetail deer, black bear, mountain lion, wolves, grouse, moose, and more! 16+ miles of forest service road behind the gate provides a great opportunity for lots of glassing from many different angles. There are many opportunities for cross-canyon, longer range shots as well as great spot and stalk scenarios.

Snowfall can make for a great opportunity to drive the road to cut elk, deer, or moose tracks. Use the Grave ATV/Jeep trail to set up for a great downhill hunt. Have a friend drop you off on the top of the ridge and hunt downhill to the road or camp.

This is also the perfect getaway in the winter. Snowmobiles or similar would be necessary, typically December thru April. Sites are at 5400ft elevation.

Tent camping is allowed. There are may sites to choose from. Drive around and pick whatever site you want!

Cellular coverage is available at the property. 1 or 2 bars of 3G data coverage is available (signal is weak but you can reliably get texts and phone calls out from the upper lookouts)

BOOKING THROUGH HIPCAMP IS ONLY ALLOWED DURING THE MONTHS OF DECEMBER THRU AUGUST.

4WD PICKUP TRUCK OR SIMILAR RECOMMENDED IN THE FALL.

Medium or High Clearance Vehicle is recommended for the last mile of the road (Subaru Outback OK, Toyota Corolla could scrape underside on rocks)

Road grade is fine for trailers and RV's. The road is not steep - RV's welcome.
